I would say not only Joe needs to speak up but Zac needs to say "screw the fine" and say something.
Th current day Chief whiner is Mahomes and he gets the calls...every time
https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/joe-burrow-needs-to-emulate-tom-brady-in-one-specific-way
After Sunday’s win over the Raiders, much time was devoted to the presence of a sideline scowl on the face of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. After Thursday night’s loss to the Ravens, and specifically while picking through the aftermath of the game on Friday’s PFT Live with Rodney Harrison, a light flickered regarding another way that Burrow needs to begin expressing his displeasure.
Put simply, Burrow needs to be more of a butthole when calls don’t go his way.
Many criticized Tom Brady for incessant whining and complaining and ultimately politicking for calls. But guess what? It worked. By wearing out the officials for failing to throw flags for fouls committed against him, they knew — even if at a subconscious level — that there would be a cost for not taking care of #Tommy.
Burrow, in contrast, is cool. Calm. Collected. He doesn’t confront the officials after bad calls. That makes it hard for him to get good calls.
It came to a head last night when he was clearly struck forcibly in the head on the fateful two-point conversion attempt. Burrow didn’t say boo about it. He never does. And that might be why he doesn’t get calls.

You gotta fire Zac and Lou 1st
You can’t have a QB doing what Joe is doing and still consistently lose
At that point your coaches aren’t doing shit

Good grief, it was a one-point loss to the Ravens after a one-point loss earlier. If we were getting blown out, you would look at the coaches. The coaches did not give them 7 points off a turnover. The coaches did not miss 4 penalties on the last play of the game. The question I have is why the defense seemed to be playing fine for almost three quarters, then fell apart and why our CB's are always 5-10 feet away from the catch?

It was a 1 point loss while leading 21-7 in the 3rd quarter.

I agree the no-calls were blatant as it gets, but that's not why we lost. Total collapse by the defense after the fumble. And they actually had played a good 1st half.
So frustrating to see Cincy waste the elite talents of Joe, Chase & Trey.

Yeah, it was. But it's still a one-point loss and 7 of those points came off a fumble. They had the game won, the refs just flat out screwed us. Obviously you would like to score enough to take it out of the referee's hands, but it's always going to be a tight game playing the Ravens or the Chiefs. Last night was just another example of the phantom DPI on Wilson that cost us in the playoffs. 4 missed penalties on the last play of the game.

They did in the first half of the first game as well. It's as simple as the Ravens adjusted and we had absolutely no answer either time. To me, that's a coaching problem. Both Ravens losses were real choke jobs.

Actually, it IS why we lost. Sure, the defense fell apart in the 2nd half, but they did enough to be right there to win it with the two-point conversion. The refs decided that game.

I get that Joe doesn't want to look like a whiner. He is probably comparing himself to Mahomes, who whines after every single play. But yea, you gotta advocate for yourself at a certain point.

There’s no guarantee they get the 2 point conversion even if they got another crack at it. There’s also no guarantee Lamar doesn’t take them right down the field after and win it anyway. They had timeouts and the Ravens had scored TD’s on 4 straight drives.

And there's no guarantee we didn't get the two point conversion, and stuff the Ravens deep to end the game. The refs decided none of that was going to get a chance to happen by allowing multiple fouls on the same scoring play.

Believe that if it makes you feel better. But when you blow multiple 10 point leads in the first matchup, and a 14 point lead in the 2nd, it’s pretty clear what really cost you both games.

The two-point decision and the defensive collapse have nothing to do with this topic, which is refs not calling blatant and egregious roughing, unsportsmanlike, face-masking type penalties when committed against Joe and the Bengals.
They didn't call at least one roughing and 2 facemasks last night. The line has enough trouble protecting Joe as it is...they don't need help from the refs ignoring serious violations.

The Bengals are one of the least penalized team in the NFL. They've had 44 penalties called on them this year.

They called 11 penalties against the Ravens last night. Feels pretty weak to blame the officiating for this loss.

I'm not talking about the loss, but a team is committing that many serious penalties they should be called.
This is about serious penalties being committed against Joe that never get called. It isn't just this game. He's been roughed, hit in the head, hit late multiple times this year.

Maybe our milquetoast HC should take the fine and actually speak out about it then.

I totally agree with the HC calling it out. Fines are not. That's our star QB taking unnecessary hits.

Ravens got away with like two or three facemasks on Burrow, right? I'd be a-okay if Burrow started lobbying, jawing, advocating, or bitching to the refs more in real time. I'd also be okay with some strong words from Zac in post games about it. If it takes a vocal QB to get the calls then I support it.

I dont think the refs had anything to do with the defense giving up 4 straight TDs to end the game?
