I new it would happen someday:  the Bengals' performance finally killed the BB.

I went to bed at halftime and woke up surprised but saying "that figures".

His confidence looks shot to me. Sucks.

They look good against mediocre teams and below. But the half dozen or so good/great players we have just can't push up over the top against the better competition.

This team needs a major overhaul to become a consistent winner. Like 4 - 6 starters on both sides of the ball. And a kicker

Yep. Even 2-3 upgrades on defense of guys that are fast would help.

It's telling that Pratt had to go off on the sideline to get CTB benched. Then, the guys they put in were younger, faster, and inexperienced...and the defense improved.

The defensive line needs something. Hubbard does very little out there. Murphy and Ossai didn't seem to do much. Then, at DT we're pretty bad too.

I don't know. If you put Warren Sapp in his prime on our defense, I still think it has issues.

You’ve only got to make one of those kicks and it changes everything at the end as Herbert was cold in the entire second half.

After 90 minutes of broken/pissed off sleep I feel exact same way.

I’m used to seeing us losing in primetime it almost became a running joke with Dalton.

That cowboys game in a couple of weeks can deffo piss off regardless of what fancy Simpsons CGI shit they do with it.

Evan was on the field high fiving the Charger players after the game. Dude needs to be cut immediately.

But they don't have another kicker on the roster.

Well, the Bengals threw us a curve. Getting MVP level QB play and still finding ways to lose.

All those timely turnovers on the SB run have turned into timely mistakes this year.

He's only hitting 71.4% of his FG's this year. Crazy bad.

I would disagree with him losing four games, he is struggling no doubt and is a big reason for some of our losses  but some of his misses other team  time to still score even if he made the kick

During the SB run and the following season, we'd routinely start slow on offense and then hit a couple deep throws in the 2nd half and pull out of the funk.

That hasn't worked the past 2 years.

We need to be able to run the ball better. Only time we did it in this game was once the passing game was dominating. We need to be able to do that earlier.

Chase Brown missed some holes last night. There were some he tried to bounce outside and it was blocked to go between the tackle and the guard.

The 1st Ravens game is the obvious one.

He's missed 6 kicks on the year. He's been bad, but he's only cost us 18 pts on FG's and 1 on an extra point. So 19 points.

He also pointedly said (and we all agree) that Evan has to make those kicks because that”s why he got paid those bucks

Did he not have a crucial drop late in game ? Did Burrow not miss him while open? it is more than I don;t call the plays, it is also making the plays especially late in the game.. our defense sucked in 1st half but once we even the score, our offense went into the tank..  this season has been a big struggle on all three areas (defense, offense, and special teams. ) of the ball when we get down to under 5 minutes left in the game

Problem is, he's arguably cost us two wins.

Lots of them out there waiting for a chance. Evan is done.

Lou’s defense finished in middle of the pack once.  Rest of the time down near the bottom.  It’s either the coaches or the players, something has to change.

But it won't because of the FO.  It's basically hopeless.  Without a FO operating like a modern NFL org and with a priority of money over winning with a side of extreme stubbornness and no care about the fans, there is really no hope.

We got lucky 2 years.  That's it in the last 35 seasons.  We are back to 90's level records.  Wasting Burrow and Chase should be a crime.  Burrow hit 14 times I believe last night.  Criminal.

Everyone can type and talk until they are blue in the face about what should happen, but the fact is that the Browns will not change and that means the status quo and no real change.

I finally came to the realization that it is hopeless after watching nothing change even though they have Burrow, Chase and Higgins.  They put up a good fake out though.  Good social media hype and ring of honor.  What did that get us?  Still the same FO doing nothing different.  The Bengals will have a shot if the Browns sell the team, otherwise it's hopeless and I refuse to be fooled anymore.

I sent a tweet to the media folks and asked that question.  I'll report back if they respond

And drafting in the top 10 helps in the first round, and gets them one stud, but they do so lousy drafting in other rounds that hard to see them fixing this team via the draft.

Yeah, early draft picks would be better than late draft picks, but somehow other teams do well with getting late draft picks year after year after year.

That's what happens when you have a real scouting department.

The FO needs to change. Unfortunately, the FO is also the body who decides if the FO needs changing.

Kind of an ouroboros thing.

I love this franchise. Hysterically dysfunctional since the beginning.
