Which should surprise absolutely no one given his injury history. The position needs to be addressed in a serious way at some point.

No reason to get rid of Lou now, like you said, it would just be a promotion for a position coach, and ALL of the Defensive Position Coaches need to be shown the door. Too late for the players to learn a new system. Just start fresh next year.

Btw shoutout to Karras for playing as well as he has all season considering the trash on each side of him.

Ford got beat bad by Heyward a few times.
Cappa got beat all day.

As do most guards in the league.I thought the run game was better yesterday, especially given the defense. Not sure how much of that was Ford, but I didn't miss Volson's false starts

Yeah, I think we should keep Karras one more year.

He’s already signed through 2025.

Right, I don't think they should cut him. Let him play one more year, then hopefully Lee will be ready to take the reins.

We were speaking in very general terms, not specific to any game or individual performance.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Yeah, keep Ted, replace Volson and Cappa with legit starters on both sides of him and things should look much better.

I think Matt Lee could be a damn good Center for us in the future. He is a great pass protector and knows how to block and not
commit penalties, just needs to add muscle and get better in his run blocking technique.

Yes, place Karras at one of the guard positions, put Lee in at Center and we only need one guard via FA.  Karras is full on class and will bust in wherever he plays. It is doable.

And Joe Bachie was the 2nd highest grade on defense. Big deal. When you only play 12 snaps it’s easier to keep your grade up.

Hudson had 4 rec for 28 yards.

Ford is a decent backup caliber NFL offensive lineman... which still means he's miles better than Volson's pathetic carcass.  But hey, if they need an emergency turnstile at the gates to Paycor, Cordell's got them covered.
