Joe Burrow puts team on notice
#41
I hope Burrow’s comments resonate with the FO/Ownership because I’m getting old and no matter how pissed I get I know I’m not quitting my fandom.

I just do not understand the DNA of a family that knows they are a complete laughing stock to their peers, knows they are ridiculed by the National media, knows that the fans are begging them to be competitive but are so freaking stubborn and callous that they just say screw everyone. It is the DNA of a loser born on third base and thinking he did something. Mike Brown and his family will have their legacy be they were the most incompetent ownership group in sports.

Sad thing is, if they committed to winning, they would likely make more money but they will play it safe and milk the cow dry.

I do hope Burrow tries to have influence with the ownership, his opinions are heard, and he makes a positive influence on the Bengals for the '25 - '26 season beyond his own on field talents.

I love that Burrow is the Bengals QB and we know the deal: the QB is considered the most important position in football. The importance of the position leads many fans to assume a respected QB who experiences amazing success on the field, like Burrow, might have some influence in how ownership and the front office run the team. I just don't see it in this circumstance. I don't see the Brown and Blackburn family involving Burrow in organizational decision making in any capacity.

Brown will retire the day he dies. His narcissism has held this team back for decades. He's worse than Jerry Jones.

Yes, he is the Head Coach, but he is an offensive minded coach and this offense just hung 38 on the Steelers defense. They are putting up over 30 points in most games, that should be enough to win. You change the offensive coaches and you're back starting from scratch. I am ready to move on from Lou and every defensive coach on this defense though, yesterday was pitiful.

My thinking exactly. And I don't mind firing Lou right now.

I did not say it was a good claim it is his only claim to fame here on the Bengals.

Vets get worse here rookies do not improve under Pollock here.

Pollock blocking scheme and run game coordination is bad.

Chase is having a decent year though.

Like to see a lot of runs from Herbert before the end of the season to see if he is a keeper.

If we're going to keep Zach, I feel the coordinators need to be gone.

We'll just have to see if this changes their mindset about how they regard the IOL and middle of the defense positions.

I agree that at least one coordinator needs to go, Anarumo for sure. I'm willing to give Pitcher a pass as the passing game has been strong all year. The changes needed on offense have more to do with a change in mindset from Zac Taylor than anything. He has to respect the power of using a rushing attack and the value of having tough people movers on the inside of the OL. A change in OL coach would provide great cover for Taylor to change his philosophy without having to blatantly admit that he's been wrong.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

This, Polock has to go. Mike Brown and Zac need to take notes from what happened to this team from 2016-2019.

Well, Volson can still be Pollack's personal claim to fame but only amount to nothing more than a pile of shit for the rest of the known world.

Honest question...............How does anyone know that Katie and the rest of the curse won't be just as bad or worse than MB?  They learned from him.  He raised her.  Taught her everything she knows.

Nothing matters to these people.  It's crazy.

Bad publicity?  Nope.
Humiliation?  Nope
Star players calling them out?  Nope.
Being the worst and biggest laughing stock in all of NFL history?  Nope, they don't care.

I mean, I HOPE when MB is gone things change for the better, but hope is not a plan and I am certainly not holding my breath.

The Bengals have finally Bungalized me this season.  I still watch the games.  I still hope they win.  But I have no excitement anymore.  Those effing Brown family pieces of !@#$ finally and truly killed my spirit.  The letdown was just too big to overcome.

I rememeber telling all  my friends in 22' that is was soooooo nice to finally have a good team for what looked like many years to come.   Something I have never experienced.  It lasted 2 years.  Then shit last year and now worse shit this year.

Screw the Brown famliy.

Speaking of Joe after seeing this angle I’m pretty sure Collinsworth would need to change his underwear if this had been Mahomes. What a play.

Reading this kinda got me wondering. How much influence will Joe have on next seasons roster? Coaching changes? Who the OC is? Even players on defense? Just on and on. It's something for him to state in public we'll see who needs to stay and who doesn't.

This team obviously needs a reboot on defense but the offense needs much change as well IMHO. Yes I know near the top on offensive stats. But I still believe it's a bit of a mirage because Joe Burrow and Chase are the ultimate mascara.

In other words we can be way more efficient with some changes.

At least I think Joe has a ton of say, way more than Carson did. I think we will see changes, the Defensives staff should all be let go. Pollack
should be let go as his young players have not improved at all and Cappa, Jonah and even Karras have regressed. Orlando wasn't good last
year but he is better this year and I think that is more because of him than coaching. Mims is very talented and polished for a rookie.

Even Joe's jump passes are tight spirals. At the very least we have our QB. Smirk

They're a finesse football team. No different than OSU.You can beat candy ass teams all day but when youplay a team with a pulse and a punch back they're toast. ZT=Ryan Day.
