I wonder if one of the reasons is the new kickoff rules.  They spent more time in the off-season and training camp practicing kick-offs than normal.  Evan talked about the addition of the landing zone changed how they had to kick.  He said it was almost like a punt.

These guys have kicked the same way their entire lives and rely on a huge amount of reps to get the automation.  Suddenly changing even a little bit can lead to more injuries and mess up their field goal motions as well.

That's a great point. You could be on to something there for sure.

Yeah, Evan has said in the past his kick is the same at 20 yds as it is at 60. He always swings the same speed. Now they have to dial it back instead of just burying it.

Can Rehkow do kickoffs? I don't know how important that kickoff is, it is for our shitty defense but Evan being automatic on FGs seems to be at least as important. Or just give up and touchback every kickoff for Evan.

That makes a lot of sense as Wyche said Pally. The new Kickoff rules made all the Kickers concentrate on another part of their game
they weren't used to. I hadn't thought of this before Wyche brought up the Kickers league wide have had an off year.

Usually Kickers, not Punters do Kickoffs so I doubt Rehkow has much experience doing Kickoffs especially the way you need to with
the new Kickoff rules. Cade York knows I am sure and will be the man doing this the rest of the season, or at least for a couple weeks.

I just now realized that the new kicker was Joe and Chase's teammate on the National Championship Team

So how well does York have to do to get you guys to think about it?

What if his girlfriend flashed the board? Would that change your opinion?
