Bengals playoff hopes may very well be in the Kansas City Chief's hands

Steelers always so adept at playing above their talent & pulling things out of their @$$es, but they can't get this done.
Figures.

I blame orga ization more fhan Zac on defense, Zac has actually done well this year on offense as playcaller and personel.

This is disappointing, but not unexpected. The Steelers have been crap for a month except against us.

Anywho, I don't think:

1) We'll win out
2) Indy will lose again

If I am wrong and we beat Denver, then we can start worrying about the Chiefs.

Think we may be toast but will hold out hope till it's official. Would like the Bengals to at least make the last week interesting.

I can agree to this, although I think Zac must have some say since he's the HC. Must be protecting Lou. That is the great part of not taking responsibility for wins or losses, there's nobody to blame, then there's nobody to fix it, and there's nobody to fire. Everyone WINS! Except the fans lol.

I woudl say Zac's first 2 game record out the gate is primarily on his plate, he's the HC. Who else is there to blame? It's a pattern.

Agreed.  At least win Saturday and keep the pressure on the other teams "in the hunt."

This article seems like Chiefs are going to sleepwalk and get 2 weeks off, then go on and win the SB like nobody expected.

NFL would make more excitement if they didn't let it happen, at the end.

Congrats Denver for losing to us on Saturday and beating the Chiefs backups handily. Will Andy Reid even be at the game or will his backups be making the calls.

They are looking for the playoff bye since they had an early bye week during the regular season, and mahomes not sure if he will play in the final game, they are going to love that 2 weeks off and not having Burrow to look forward to. Maybe Zac won't be here next year or Lou, so we have a chance of winning one of those first 2 games and not be in this position, again.

I can see them resting, Denver wins, Bengals win out and miss the playoffs - then the Bills or someone else beats the chiefs in the playoffs and the story is "maybe we shouldn't have rested" - since we've heard that before. Man we can have a story for everything lol.

Yeah, Mahomes has more or less say they expect to be resting starters. He said it will be up to Andy Reid, but that they need the break. The game is also at mile-high Denver. Shame, as Burrow would be a front-runner for MVP if the Bengals hadn't had such a pitiful defense for most of the season.

Today two teams that regularly beat us got blown out. That does not feel good.

I won't be surprised if, even without starters KC beats Denver. I won't be surprised if we get all the help we need but we don't handle business against Denver or the Steelers. That is because this team does not have a defense that can compete with an actually good team. A lot of work to be done in the offseason.

We lost by combined 4 points to Ravens this year with a bad defense, you would assume with an average defense we could have beaten them in one of the games.. so are you including the Texans in your regularly beat us??? we have played them only twice since 2017, 1-1, Steelers yes they have won last 3 games, but since 2020 , Bengals are 4-5, i would not say that is a regular beating

I agree, I think literally a 10% better defense and we are in the playoffs. That is sad. Would we win the SB with that? probably not. Still seems to be defense wins championshipos. Ask the Chiefs who are 15-1 and didn't score 30 points yet.

Carson Wentz, in an Andy Reid offense might still be good enough to beat the Broncos. Bo Nix will also have a ton of pressure on him if it’s a must win last game, how does he respond?

Just win Saturday and see what happens.

You want to see a pretty crazy stat:

Spags has honestly been just as important to their success the last couple years as Mahomes & Reid.

KC won't beat Denver.  They'll make sure they don't beat Denver.  Does anyone think they want Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase in the playoffs with the seasons their having?

Stop it.

Tackles - the chiefs are on their 4th starting LT, who is actually their starting LG. Their RT is a penalty machine.
RB - Pacheco broke his leg against the Bengals in game #2 and just recently came back.
TE - No but Kelce is a shell of his former self.
WR - They lost Hollywood Brown in the preseason and their #1 Rashee Rice in game #4. Brown just came back and Rice is out till next year.
DB - They lost CB #2 in game #6 and he won't be back.

Burrow was not @50% the first 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 game. He's been healthy the entire year. The Bengals have had a legitimate chance to win every game they've played this year, in the 4th quarter, with the exception of the Eagles.

At least their "backup" is a former starting QB.

Those lucky MFers just happened to get an elite defense as soon as Mahomes started looking like Joe Blow. They carried that team to a SB last year and the undefeated start this year. The Bills are the only team to score 30 on that defense in the last 2 years and it just happens to be the only game they've lost this year.

Also true, but KC has had at least a half dozen games swing on BS calls...
