THe NFL seems to be pushing Mahomes getting 3 in a row, I doubt he will get another chance to do it again (?). If it's not KC, BUF, or BAL in the AFC-C it would surprise many I believe.

Yeah this is a plot by the nfl

The point is true and also barely almost not considering how KC beat CIN this year. 4th and long, Anarumo rushes 3, then we get a PI. You give Mahomes all day, you're going to lose. Thanks Lou. It's kind of crazy to think us rushing 3 is going to somehow generate enough pressure before one of his WRs gets open for a potential catch or PI.

Either way, it was too close for comfort for Reid I bet. The only loss being against Josh Allen is just set up for a playoff rematch/story.
When Josh Allen folded against Burrow at home in the snow, something didn't look right to me...

That Bills team was out of stamina and emotion. With all they dealt with that season they were always going to fold. Remember how depressed they look before the game even started? The whole Hamlin situation, games being moves due to snow, arguments with Diggs and Allen, they were wiped out.

Yes, but it looked like they weren't even wearing the right cleats. I can get the emotion level being gone. Burrow was going to smoke them either way, I think this year's Burrow would smoke them this year too.

I don't think KC is worried about us. They just put their JV team out there against the Broncos starters. What is supposed to happen is. We played backups at the end of last year and some pretended we accomplished something.

Kansas City has quality playmakers at all levels of their defense. The Bengals do not. The Chiefs have a solid offensive line and a great offensive scheme. The Bengals do not. The Chiefs’ kickers have made kicks when they absolutely them. The Bengals have not. The Chiefs have drafted well and used free agency well over the past two years. The Bengals have not.
Through 2024

Mike Brown Owner/GM record: 34 years  232-311-4  .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record:  5-9 .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record: 6 years 46-52-1 .470 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-2 .714 winning pct.

We had a healthy Burrow playing MVP-level ball most of the year, sucks to see other results will put us out of the playoffs, but let's face it the Bengals are the sole reason that the Bengals aren't going to the postseason this year. Slow and awful start, which continued for 2/3rds of the season... one of the worst defensive units I can remember, and a real lack of clutch in close games. We could easily have won the majority of the games we lost, with a few of them literally down to a single play. Would've been great to make it in, but tbh I do think Buffalo would've sent us packing next week anyway. We need to figure out how to field a capable defence before thinking about a SB.

....and the early season of the chiefs that we faced has improved considerably as the season progressed...regardless..its all speculation....reid rested his starters on the last meaningless game of the season...no big deal..you and I would have done the same

That part is expected and understood. It's the mentality of wanting your own team to get beat so that you don't have to face another that's objectively pathetic.

I'm not saying that's your stance, but there's plenty of Chiefs fans that are admitting to that.

But if you can't use speculation then you can only look at history, and historically, Reid and Mahomes have trouble with Burrow in the playoffs, moreso than any other team.
I'm not saying he's resting them to avoid Burrow, I'm saying they would be happy to avoid Burrow if they could lol.

And even with a healthy burrow...we still lost..bengals could not score a touchdown the second half against a delated steelers team....and i love joe...but as he hs done all season...he holds on to the ball too long...heloses pocket awareness..and he kills momentum

Anytime you put your future in other teams hands expect the worst.

What a waste of a season.

He's not completely perfect, but we'd have been 1-16 or something without Joe Burrow this year. We were an elite QB and an elite WR, and not a lot else (Hendrickson not included in that of course). We'd have been a 12+ win team with a defence that was below average.

For the record I don't believe Reid or his players are afraid of the Bengals. I'm talking about a portion of their fanbase.

I've been saying it for years, but if the NFL is out to get the Bengals I'll be damned if Mike Brown isn't in on it.

They also have a better coach. Zac is responsible for some of our losses I'd say, with the pattern of slow season starts now on his resume.
