We can always hope I guess
You can pull these coaches fired on Bengals.com story.. Coach Zac Taylor says HE fired these coaches and it was a tough decision.
In the story, it does say that the Bengals Defense the last 2 years has been one of the worst in NFL. That the D Line except for Hendrickson has been one of the worst in NFL. That the Linebackers have been some of the worst in NFL. That even though Joe Burrow is putting up points, the Bengals Defense lost too many games even though Burrow put up points.
The Offensive Line was one of the worst in NFL, and Burrow gets hit more than any other QB even though Burrow has a quick release time.
All these coaches were not doing their jobs. Coach Taylor says he hated to Fire them, and it was a tough choice.
Considering how awful The Defense, The D Line. The Linebackers and The O Line ranked in the NFL the last 2 seasons. Yes, They Had To Be Fired.
Coach Taylor says HE Fired Them, and he hated to do it, but it was Time. He will try to Hire coaches to come in here and help Joe Burrow and Company Win more games. Neither the Defense or The O Line helped Joe Burrow much the last 2 seasons, and that is the problem.
I know who I would like to see as O Line Coach, if he wants the job. He played Guard and Tackle for Bengals and Won a Super Bowl. Andrew Whitworth might make a great O Line Coach, he certainly has Leadership, we saw that many years. In fact, Whitworth could make a good Head Coach for a team once he gets coaching experience. Whitworth has a Lombardi or John Madden Offensive Line Leadership quality. I saw that when Ocho was yelling at Palmer, and Whitworth told him to shut up and line up for the next play. The Rams getting Whitworth was a big reason they won Super Bowl. Because Whitworth played both Guard and Tackle, I think that would help him be a great O Line Coach.
A possible Defensive Coordinator. Robert Saleh. He was a good D Coordinator for 49ers and as head coach of Jets he had a tough D, but his offense stunk. The man knows Defense though. If the Bengals had him to run the 49ers Defense, that could work. And Whitworth making sure Burrow has Blocking. Those probably won't happen, but New Coaches for 2025 are coming.
New Years, Out With The Old, In With The New.
