A new OL coach that knows how to develop could make a player like Mims All Pro.
Mims was polished? He started all of 8 games in college.
We can say it was time for a change at OL without completely making things up.

Zac’s universe in the NFL in finding good coaches is much larger than when most of these guys hired. He’s got a head start on it. Zac’s reputation of going toe to toe with the likes of Kyle Shanahan & Andy Reid as well as playing in the Super Bowl and 2 AFC Championships helps his rep. He’s well liked. Here’s to some good choices.
Yes I agree 100%. Back when Zach was hiring his original staff, there was a lot of this.....
Anyway, with the reputation and culture he has built and frankly with the offense and Burrow on the other side of the ball, it could be a dream job for a DC to come in and succeed. We should get high uality coaches.

Spain - best year of his career here
Orlando - was having his best season here before he got hurt
Karras - just had his best season as a pass blocker of his career
Reiff - was fine here
Cappa - was good his first season then was derailed by an injury
Collins - sucked here but his back was the reason Dallas released him in the first place
Ford - has played his best ball here
Orlando had his poorest year of his career the year before last though. Karras is solid I will give you that. Reiff was fine but we didn't
even get a full year of him because of injury. Cappa has regressed big time and as far as I know has not been injured this season.
Ford looked good yesterday and I want him back as good depth, but overall it is not as pretty as you say with Pollack and the FA's.
The youth all regressed under Pollack it seemed which is bad coaching. I know the Offense sabotages the OL being in the Shotgun
all the time, but it is what it is. We needed a change, are you disagreeing with this Nicomo?

He’s never recovered from the injury he suffered at the end of 22.
But to answer your question I’m all for a change at OL even if I think Pollack is a bit of a scapegoat for Duke among this fanbase. They need to find someone who’s a better fit with Zac’s offense.

Zac says a lot of stuff that us politically correct. He's a NFL coach, thus he lies. There is no F'ing way he fired coaches without consulting with the FO. Also, he is a "The Buck Stops Here" kind of guy. He is going to take all the heat even if he didn't make the fire. Also, I refuse to believe this wasn't on his mind when we were the bottom defense in the first half of the season. He probably practiced his hand writing for weeks so he could sign those pink slips at the end of the season.

Exactly. This is reality. People need to live with it and move on.

Billy Price
Jonah Williams
Hakeem Adeniji
Jackson Carman
D’Ante Smith
Cordell Volson
Armarius Mims
I’m not sure even Bill Callahan or Dante Scarnecchia could have developed most of those guys.
Jonah and Mims were the only ones worth a shit. I'm not a big Pollack guy....but he was not given a good hand to play with. Zac did his job and fired coaches. Now the front office needs to get their damn act together. Get some ***** scouts ffs, and tell Duke you better get this off-season right or you're next, if he's not fired in the coming days.

Agreed, and I think we win those games this year if the defense could have gotten off the field just a couple of times. We do out up points on Baltimore.

and theyre a well balanced offense because they have to be. They dont have an elite receiver. I would love a more balanced attack in cincy, but people and fans will be killing Zac if he starts running it more. Zac cant win with this fanbase. 2021 he was getting killed for running it too much
Agree, and this is why I wouldn't throw a lot of money at Tee. Would rather spread the money and sign one of best OG avaliable out there. I think we could use Chase Brown more and protect Joe. We know what we have with Chase Brown, he's one of the most explosive players on our roster. Burrow + Chase combo, Gesicki plus a solid run game should be enough to put a lot of points on the board. We don't need two expensive receivers to do that IMO.

totally agree. Take notes on how KC and buffalo moved on from Tyreek and Diggs
but if the front office just wants to listen to everything Joe wants, then this franchise lives and dies with Burrow. No serious team should let their qb call the shots. Thats the stuff the Jets do

Zac does very little to make things easier for his offense.
I get it ....and I get the critiques. Having said that, it's not like the offense just goes out there and scratches out plays in the dirt. I think this offense is catered to the wants and needs of its highly accurate and intelligent QB. That's just me. Look at this year. Boyd is gone. So you saw a lot more two TE sets as an adjustment. Aikman pointed that out. I see announcers talking about beautiful play design quite often. I think our fanbase is a little more critical because this is what we watch the most of. I also believe that having such pathetic play in the middle of the offensive line hinders a lot of things.

Both those teams actually got something for those guys though. They should have traded Tee before last season if he wasn’t part of the long term plans.

Nah, thats how you keep your elite qb happy.
Im sorry, but at this point i am willing to take joe burrows gm skills over duke tobins.

Right? Also, if Cappa and Volson weren't constantly getting steamrolled into his lap, I wonder how often Joe would have to improvise? I wonder who teaches these guys to be so good at the scramble drill? No credit for anything good, and ALL of the blame for anything bad. The truth, lies somewhere in the middle.

Especially in the SF game. So he said he wouldn't take the ball out of his QBs hands again, now he's getting slammed for that. I mean they're paying the guy a quarter billion dollars. Let him cook.

Not that I even necessarily agree with Joe about keeping Tee (I’m back on the fence lol), but people didn’t like him having any say over the Chase vs Sewell debate either. And I think that one worked out pretty well. For both teams honestly.

LOL . . . Sure, I guess if you're a PFF believer.
#2 rated guard in PFF in 2021 . . . never took another snap in the NFL. Not one team called him in 2022. Doesn't that seem odd to you?
