Well, since Trey Smith has been franchise tagged, Risner just seems like a Guard of possible interest, along with Fries, Daniels, Zeitler, etc.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Because for the quality Risner puts out, he's a good bargain when factoring in cost.
Risner at either OG spot is an upgrade over Cappa and Volson, and he'll likely cost $5 mill or less.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Yep, logical dude to bring up adding to the Bengals.

Not sure about $5M or less after the large increase in salary cap, but he would still be a good deal at anything less than $7.5M. Along those same lines, maybe the team gives Tevin Jenkins a look?

Edit: I just noticed that Risner has 2 accepted holding penalties in 6 years. That's pretty good.

We can't get better in the run game if we sign guards who are terrible at run blocking.

See, I've already pretty much written off Scherff and Zeitler do to age. This team is typically fearful of paying older players.
