Point is you need a Super team to beat him! yep that was my point exactly J24. edit. nope it wasn't my point. we HAVE the generational QB. and you don't need a super team to beat him you need a sound team. an average defense like we had a few years ago beats him b/c we can put up the points.

with this bengals team a raiders FO could put together a superbowl champ. it really shouldn't be this difficult with burrow chase higgins. it just shouldn't.

What's that got to do with anything? Lol (02-09-2025, 11:51 PM)reuben.ahmed Wrote: Eagles also crushed us. At least we lost to the SB winner, although we lost to a lot of other teams too lol. We at least we were winning/keeping it neck and neck for 3 quarters, then something fell apart and we crumbled as a result. I think if given a second crack at the Eagles, we may not have won, but I definitely think it isn't as lopsided as our first game ended up. ![]()

Instead they rushed 4 (well in Lou's case he rushed 3 a few times) and still got pressure. Not saying Lou didn't need to go, but the recipe for beating Mahomes seems to be having a talented defense and to design plays for them that are effective without blitzing. ![]()

Mahomes lost both superbowls because of a porous line, Burrow deals with this more often than not. Andy Reid > Zac Taylor. Duke Tobin is average. Mike Brown has consistently shown he is one of the worst owners in sports. "Oh it must be so hard to win a game with a porous O-line. Mahomes is all Andy Reid. Burrow is stuck with Zac, Tobin, and Mike Brown. Burrow > all."

Multiple picks, pick 6 to rookies, pick within your own 20 a few plays later, bad decisions. Shows his mind is rattled not the same way Burrow's is with a porous line. Looks like Mahomes got zero of the calls he normally gets too, sliding and getting hit late, roughing the passers, got nothing. ![]()

Looking at who got sacks in this Super Bowl, mostly it is 3rd and 4th rounders. I mention this just to restate what I think we all know, which is that there is talent to be found in the mid-rounds.
Eagles Josh Sweat LB 2018 / round: 4 / pick: 130 --- 2.5 Sacks / 2 TFLs Milton Williams DT 2021 / round: 3 / pick: 73 --- 2 Sacks / 2 TFLs Jalyx Hunt LB 2024 / round: 3 / pick: 94 --- .5 sacks KC Drue Tranqull LB 2019 / round: 4 / pick: 130 -- 1 Sack / 2 TFLs ![]()

Fangino took the Eagles from #30 in scoring defense to #1. End of story. And… they had a rookie contribute on defense.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
