1 more reason Bengals fan should watch Super Bowl

No way. I don’t think rookies are even allowed to dress.

So this is the Chiefs without the refs. Interesting.

Wasn't it sad to see the Chiefs players in tears?  Hilarious

The league was feeling the heat about the refs .. If they had flagged the Chiefs to victory the NFL stock price would have taken a dive this time. It's tough to lose money in the NFL. You have to really work at that..

Any time you can rock a guy like Trey Smith so hard that he's blatantly holding on for dear life, as he's being dragged through the backfield halfway to his QB, you're doing an overwhelming job. That Philly DL was definitely motivated and on a mission last night.

We at least we were winning/keeping it neck and neck for 3 quarters, then something fell apart and we crumbled as a result. I think if given a second crack at the Eagles, we may not have won, but I definitely think it isn't as lopsided as our first game ended up.

games are 4 quarters

We witnessed the best team in the trenches against a very good Chiefs team in the trenches. It was not a surprise, Eagles OL and DL have been superior all year. They added Becton at guard (new position for him) and he solidified the OL that was already very good.

We have begging, hoping and praying our FO would focus first on the trenches, then on skilled positions. The Eagles went from almost worst defense in NFL to best defense in the NFL in one year. That gives me hope if our FO focuses on free agency first, then compliments FA with a great draft, we have one of the best QB's in the NFL so give him time to throw and a running game, we will compete with anyone.

Interesting note, the Bengals have the 4th most early money placed on them to win the 2025 Super Bowl.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

So very hoping and praying. We can't continue with the two worst guards in the NFL. We can't continue being a one player Dline. FIX IT

Defense wins championships. But that defensive turn around was because they hired a former successful DC that failed as a HC, but had experience and success coordinating defenses in the NFL.

The winning formula many around here called for when our DC position was opened up....

One in which Zac passed on the opportunity to add. When there were many "Vic Fangio" type coaches that were  available this offseason. I don't expect similar results from a guy who has never called defenses for the NFL.

We could have had worse to first results though.....

I think there has been good recognition of how good Burrow's season was. While not close to winning it, he was in MVP conversation and there's nobody betting on a 9-8 team winning it all next year without JB being as incredible this year as he was.

I do personally think we are some way from being capable. The defence needs a total reload here. But an improvement there would likely see us a playoff team.

Yeah he was getting rag dolled a few times.  If Josh Sweat earned money in free agency, did smith lose any?  I doubt it.  And I’d still take him in stripes.

While he did look very human last night, I don't think that any potential suitors will be deterred by just that performance. Philly's front four kicked the ass of every one of the Chief's OL, not just Trey Smith.

Becton made money. In hindsight we coulda had him for peanuts and I think he will be in play for RG in FA; but there's a good chance he re-signs with Philly.

Philly is going to find a way to re-sign Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, Mekhi Becton, Zack Baun, and also sign 1 or 2 big free agents by pushing cap hits into the 2040s and then draft nothing but BPA.

Katie and Duke should take notes.

One of the reasons I mentioned all of the free agents playing last night is because both teams have limited cap space as of now, but a lot of solid and expensive FA's.
Eagles have 24.5 million and Chiefs 15. 7 million. A Mahomes restructure could give them more. But other issue they have is they have a lot committed to 2026 also. Bengals on other hand have over 220 million of cap space projected in 2026. Eagles have 103 million and Chiefs only 97 million.

Also, both teams don't have obvious cut candidates to generate more 2025 cap. We have 5 guys who we could cut without remorse. I am sure Eagles would love to keep Trey Smith and Eagles Becton, question becomes if both do, who do they let walk in FA

Free agents for Eagles
Sweat
Milton Williams
Braun
Becton
Graham

KC is worse for them
Reid
Bolton
Trey Smith
Wharton
Omenihu
5 WR's who need signed or replaced
Hopkins
M. Brown
J. Watson
Hardman
Smith Schuster
Punter and long snapper

this was the 1st SUper Bowl where ticket prices went down for the first time ever. I suspect the NFL felt it and decided to abandon the 3-peat scenario. I am glad they abandoned the 3-peat glorification narrative. The NFL would have tanked afterwards as you surmise.
