Happy Tampering Day
Fields to the Jets.

Bynum for 60 total over 4 years isn't a bad deal at safety (Colts).

Wow, basically double for an ascending player that (per production) is identical to BJ.

Not calling him a dud or anything, but I don't think he does anything in NE.

Rodgers now to Steelers or Wilson back?

I hope they literally get no one.  Whatever the worst option for them is I am all for it.

I think Wilson is still worse than Rodgers so hoping Russ is back with them.

For Bengals fans it is a day/week of high anxiety so make sure you are ready.  The must haves include

1) bottle of antacids
2) bottle of Tylenol
3) adult beverage of your choice
4) Xanax
5) and of course, that smidgen of hope that will quickly be doused when the FO does something stupid (er) than they already have

And a large bag of the good shit! Can't leave that off of the list!

That is a pretty insane price tag haha.

I saw a stat yesterday that said basically only Tom Brady has worked out in terms of QB's signed in FA for more than 15+ per year in the last decade. In comparison, multiple guys that were "bargain" bin actually did something for their teams (Baker, Darnold, Geno Smith, etc).

Everyone wants shiny toys but legit most these are bad deals but because there is nothing else to do everyone wants their team to win FA.

Doesn't change the fact signings on the first day are exciting.
Waiting sucks.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

All teams deal with injuries. The bottom line is the Bengals haven’t been a Playoff team the last 2 seasons. Part of the reason for that is the draft pick and free agent replacements for key members of the last Playoff teams have largely disappeared underwhelmed. That’s squarely on Mike/Katie/Troy/Duke. They’ve surfed off of the 20-21 FA signings and drafts for too long.
Through 2024

Mike Brown Owner/GM record: 34 years  232-311-4  .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record:  5-9 .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record: 6 years 46-52-1 .470 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-2 .714 winning pct.

Rodgers to the Steelers seems like a Steelers kind of move.

Fields got 2 year 40 million with a whopping 30 million guaranteed.

This is crazy.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Have an instant classic where the cats beat Rick, then Duke beats Auburn in double or triple overtime, then the Cats take it home against the despicable, hated dookies on Monday night.

Ahhhh, to dream...

If I had access to a Sportsbook I’d lay money on St John’s and UK having a bracket where they’d meet in the Sweet 16 or Elite 8. NCAA loves them some manufactured drama…

Wonder what their plan (if they even have one) is for Hendrickson/Higgins?
They ccant think these guys are both going to show up for TC and be OK. Best case is “hold ins” Like Chase do last year.
That means great possibility for another slow start and Tee walks for nothing next off season.

This is the worst part - it appears right now that their plan is the worst case scenario.
Extend or trade are the only good options for Higgins and Hendrickson.
