Sweat was my Trey replacement. Not trading Trey before the start of FA hurt if we wanted to sign a FA to... maybe not replace his production.... but get us a player who can possibly get to 10 sacks.

Za Darius Smith in the 2nd/3rd wave could be a rotational guy that can get you maybe 8 or so for a year.

Guess we could do better, bring in Jonathan Allen is still my call if he is available.

Meh @grades. I prefer to look at the numbers and Hill has out performed him.

Hill - 13 sacks, 74 hurries on 2463 snaps.
Og - 7 sacks, 56 hurries on 2002 snaps.

Similar amount of hurries per snap but BJ has gotten the QB on the ground much better on a per snap basis. BJ also has about 2x the hits on QB than LarryO.

BJ kills Larry on grades though...

Mekari to the Jags. We may see some guard movement now.

Think Trey will be back anyways.

Sounds good to me.

The second wave had better be full of Bengals.

This roster has more holes than the plot of Game of Thrones.

And Winter is coming.

None of the top FA guards have moved yet. Smith got tagged. But Fries, Daniels, Jenkins, Zeitler, Becton, Scherff are all still FAs I think.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the bengals don’t spend big on guard in FA.

They could just turn to the draft and think Volson and Ford are their vets.

It’d be nice to sign a quality starter but I’m thinking it’ll be bargain players.

Hope I’m wrong and they sign one.

Or a bowel movement if Mikey has been taking his fiber.

Wow, looks like we signed the right guy. Surprised it is that lopsided for BJ though, maybe the injury hurt Larry O...

^ this.

A little longer in the tooth than the other guys, but more productive.

I've read some articles on Big Z coming back, so we'll soon find out, I reckon.

Glad to have Perine back. I liked him coming out of college and when he was with us before.

Before I could even post that maybe we should get Grady Jarrett, the Bears got him

Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

If Zeitler comes back I hope it's a 1 or 2 year deal only, he's 35.

Guard market moving. Aaron Banks signed for 4 years 77 Million. Mekhari was a MUCH better deal.

And We sign TJ Slaton DT who has experience with our DT coach in GB 2 years 15 million. More of a Nose tackle for those not familiar before everyone posts pass rush numbers.
