Perhaps, but the look on his face seems like a lot of perceived effort for that little bit of weight on the bar. I hope we don't rely on him to lay any blocks downfield..

Yeah, I'm hoping that he get's his act together, too. Just looking at that picture, seemed like he appeared out of shape compared to the others.

A really critical take not having solid info. Also the player 1st with the beard also seems to be struggling,  but you only singled out Burton.

Are you rooting for him or watching to see if he screws up?

I hope I am wrong, but your post suggest the latter.

Honestly, it's not that tough to jump to that conclusion after reading about a guy who showed up to team meetings in pajamas, and was a no call-no show on walk throughs.

To me, everyone in that picture looks to be struggling except Yoshi, who looks like he's out getting a manicure. That kid has tremendous core strength would be my guess.

love you sunset but to make a determination on a players being in shape or not being in shape on that one picture is a reach

Yep. This place can be comical trying to judge a facial expression. Who knows how many reps into that picture was taken or what part of the workout it was taken.

Yep, go ahead and discount my opinion. I've been training athletes for strength competitions, hosting and judging events for over a decade. I recognize a look of discomfort on someone's face when I see it.

I am discounting your opinion..Hell you might want to include Joe Burrow in that picture and after two lifts he would be doing the same thing as Burton..does that make him out of shape. And frankly when it comes to receivers as long as they can run their routes  and catch a football who cares if they can lift weights. Until 3 years ago I ran marathons and my little grandma would do better lifting weights than myself...And as you stated you have experience in these matters ..well you should know that some of the best players in both the NFL and MLB smoked cigarettes their entire career..  some even smoked in the dugout...But have a nice day..Time for the Draft

I didn't say anything about "being in shape." I said the only one in the picture who does not look like he's struggling is Yoshi. I guess the other three could be grimacing because they are trying to squeeze one out or hold one in..... Yoshi looks bored.

you said that certain players were "struggling "..again..I ran marathons until 3 years ago..I was an still am in pretty good shape..But you put me next to Burton..I would have the same facial expressions..Hate weights..Anyway..Its draft day..sun is out..have a great day..I am off to the golf course and sharing some Pappy with my buds

Those Filipinos have tremendous strength in their legs: if his core is indeed strong, then his legs are basically there for decoration.
