Interesting Info from a scout who has scouted him and the A&M DL for years.

"The Texas A&M defensive line is one of the most unique position groups in college football," Sarkisian says. "Every year with Terry Price, he was getting two, three, four players drafted every year. Shemar's traits are in the same class with Myles Garrett. "

"Nobody saw more quick passing games than A&M. Everybody was afraid of their defensive line, and they all schemed to stop this guy as a priority," Sarkisian says. "All those guys had a lot of production. He was the guy who led them in pressures."

They see Stewart as a big weapon in matching the AFC North competition. Sarkisian points to plays Stewart made in the running game.

"Go back to the South Carolina game. He blows up a read option in the backfield. One of the most violent plays I saw all fall," he says. "Go back to Arkansas with all the read option stuff they do when you see him make great chase-down plays. He looks like a safety at times running in pursuit."

Thanks Nepa, I did want Mims the most of about anybody before we drafted him.

I didn't research Shemar much at all before the draft since I didn't expect him to be the pick with so many saying he was another Myles Murphy.

I thought if that was the case we would of stayed as far away from Stewart as possible. After we drafted him I had to research up and if you watch
the film he is scary talented. When you see a player that big, move that fast it really stands out. The new Defensive coaches couldn't get a more 
talented player to work with. Synric was the one who provided the film and I think knew the most about Stewart before the draft.

Stewart dominated the Senior Bowl practices.

I think it’s naive for some to think (not you)!Golden doesn’t have a lot of contacts in college to call to get the real lowdown on players. At least for awhile. The unfiltered low down. Not like the people at Clemson who have been instructed to not say anything damaging. I bet he had great info on a few of our draft guys.
