From ZT post draft interview

Was the thought process that Demetrius Knight Jr. wasn't going to be available if you had waited until the third round?

"Yes."

You felt like you had to go get him, and you felt good that Dylan Fairchild was going to be there in the third round? Did you feel confident that was going to happen?

"I didn't feel good Dylan was going to be there,
but yes, that's how it worked out."

"The firmest guy I've put hands on since I've been coaching," said Peters Saturday as the former Brazilian jiu jitsu world champion and trainer of MMA champions recalled the day. "Extremely strong. Couldn't move him an inch. It was incredible. He's very strong. It was impressive."

The 6-5, 318-pound Fairchild said he could feel the bond developing between him and Peters as the workout of the two champions went on. Fairchild, who twice won Georgia's high school heavyweight title as an undefeated champion, says he thinks those skills transfer to the league.

He seems bigger than our current/former starting guards at almost 320. What did Cappa weigh? Patrick is 312 and Volsen is 315.

Says Cappa weighs 311 lbs but that doesn’t seem right. Last season he and Volson both played like they weighed 111 lbs.

They draft Dylan Fairchild (6'5, 318) in the 3rd and he's supposedly our rookie Day 1 starter at LG.

...just feels like they aren't learning shit when it comes to the IOL. Would love to be wrong and for him to thrive, but I have a feeling that we're going to get a 3rd or 4th round rookie LG to be our starter in the 2028 draft.

Third time's the charm, dude.

Fool me once...shame on...shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled again.

I say it again, The Coaches like the draft so far, and that means more to me than the negatives on this site always bashing The Bengals.

Would you like some D pics, Kevin?
