Plus, there's nothing wrong with being a homer. Most fans are, of their team. You and a couple others are sunshiners.
I disagree I am not all sunshine, but I am partly sunny while many stay cloudy.
Maybe you need to do a little more research in these draft day thread and show where I have shown great love for this entire draft. Defending extreme posts or questioning those who want to say the Bengals are the worst at drafting in the NFL, but then want you to grade them against the best versus the worst FO drafting seems extreme to me.
It is like you are arguing with yourself. I don't recall many posters praise and say our FO is one of the best at drafting. In fact, just the opposite. So I am sunshine for being realistic and objective so be it.

No. I'm arguing with you because you first crawl up my ass when i say negative things about the team.
If YOU bothered to do some research, you'd see i have thousands and thousands of positive comment about the FO, coaching and players over the years.
I'm just not scared to say something overly negative about the team several times, because i'm afraid they won't pick me for Fan of the Year some day...

Yes I am a homer. Specifically with Bengals players on the team and I know this about myself. But I still have to call them out when I feel like the franchise is making mistakes. I was excited for FA and glad we signed Higgins, Chase and Gesicki as well as the others but when I saw how we front loaded contracts I was upset. Got over and was excited for the draft but when it ends and we appear to be universally but in the bottom 5 of draft results I'm not gonna be happy about it. I mean we had a 15min meeting with Stewart that he didn't even remember at the combine. How is that okay? Even liking the pick we should be bringing in all targets of the 1st rd.

PS - I'm not using the word "worst". You are, Mr. Extremes.

I am sure we are similar, I have no filter at all. I hate political correctness.
I respond what is in front of me, no I don't look up your history.
If I was going for fan of the year, I would never post in the P&R forum. Let's just say I am not concerned to take a stand or piss people off on a daily basis. My guess is as much as I respect Pally, she hates my guts. But, I stay true to me and everyone should stay true to themselves.
I am curious though, what in the heck does a fan get for fan of the year? If it is a blow up doll, I think Bfine would love me to gift him one.

Do you have to use the word "worst" to insuiate "worst?
Your post scream Bengals are worst or one of the worst run franchises in the NFL. If I am wrong, my apologies for the misinterpretation.

I believe you had said that you hadn't heard of Stewart before the pick? Could be wrong perhaps that was someone else. But perhaps that's the main difference in attitudes. I've been reasonably focused on the draft since the season ended its fun to think about and see what players might fit best. I never too high on a particular player because the likelihood of drafting said player is not very high. But for months it's been widely circulated not to draft Stewart. Heck draft night people were actively rooting for him to come off the board. Definitely did not help getting excited about the pick.

I remember I was against drafting Tyler Lindenbaum because I thought he was too small to be an effective AFCN Center. I was wrong, but what I remember was everyone that wanted him was going on and on about how he was a wrestler and that balance would make him effective. Funny how that all went out the window.

Fool me once...shame on...shame on you. Fool me, you can't get fooled again.
I think Fairchild will indeed be a rock for us, Faulk: MJ showed right away his weaknesses hadn't improved from college, Carman showed he was CLEARLY better than Volson, but didn't get played because of attitude, as Volson was the more mature, willing to work guy (despite him being awful), but I don't see how a Georgia OL on that team wouldn't be a decent starter for us.
Easily my favourite pick in the draft, I think he wins the job in camp and doesn't let it go, while playing well-enough.

He’ll fit right in.
I do like the wrestling background though.

Draft grades mean very little, just start bringing up what they graded vs how they performanced in the nfl. because a guy might not remembered a coach after meeting multiple teams etc, means little, I will take more stock in what their college HC said about them as a player. I can understand the debate maybe we should have taken a different DE but what I like about this draft is I felt they had a focuse on the type of defense players they needed to draft to compete with our division. They went with more players that display a aggressive physical nature in their play and have shown they can stop the run. This is what we are going to need to start winning in division.. I am glad the Bengals understand we can have a top 5 offense again and it wont matter if we have a bad defense and win 1 or 2 games in division

I think the vedict on Fairchild will come very early. There's no "wait and see if he develops" stuff.
The guard room is below average. If he can't beat the people in front of him, or at least consistently show the potential to be leagues ahead, he's not cut out for the league.
Will he?
I mean, the last late guard we drafted that wasn't shit was Boling. By sheer chance, we have to get it right eventually.
