Mandtory camp missed = 98K
Day 1 TC = 50K (mandatory and can't be waived by team) Money also goes back into Bengals 2025 cap space
Day 2 TC = 50K (mandatory and can't be waived by team) Money also goes back into Bengals 2025 cap space
Day 3 TC = 50K (mandatory and can't be waived by team) Money also goes back into Bengals 2025 cap space

Day 5 TC = 50K (mandatory and can't be waived by team) Money also goes back into Bengals 2025 cap space
Total - 398K
I am pretty sure he's neither going to lose $9.3m or $9.5m per game missed. That would be $74.4-76m for missing 8 games. Lol
Also why are there two Day 4s?

TY, the numbers I referenced were based on 10 games. I fixed it.
I clarified the 9.5 million is for missing 10 games. My thought is he will not go past 10 game and miss a year of service. This is in addition to the camp fines. As I mentioned, all TC and any missed games fines are piad directly to the team and the Bengals will get the benefit of subtracting these fines from their 2025 cap.

I offer it might be agenda driven.

No, it is simply educational as it pertains to the cap space we all covet. I will stop it once he reports and the fines end.
What agenda are you suggesting?

rfaulk is fairly reasonable in his posts when you follow the entire conversation. The behavior you're describing is typically instigated by someone else before rfaulk replies. Luvnit2-unhinged is a recent example.
Now, if someone else is on his account, and they see my post, could you please update Location: Covington, Ky to read "KY" instead? It's just a me issue and preference.

Seriously, $6-$10 million in guaranteed money is NOTHING in 2025 NFL money.. The Bengals just need to suck it up and close the deal

There's gotta be a compromise here much like there was with the Stewart deal. Hopefully both sides will find it. Maybe split the guranteed money or guarantee the money over two years instead of 3 or something.
The Bengals are already compromising in a way by giving a lineman a third contract over the age of 30. Cmon Trey.

I was just thinking the other day, just freaking guarantee 10M in year 3 and be done with it. Then i wondered if that number was too small and saw Garrett and Watt have 30M guaranteed in yr 3.
hmm...

Watt and Garrett are the faces of their franchises right now, that would garner them a premium over Trey. But, it doesn't sound like they are dealing with dollar amounts that would make or break the Bengals salary cap long term...they just have to get past their internal issues about guaranteed money. It is 2025 and guaranteed money is the thing they need to sign stars

So TH is going to continue to sit out and collect fines, and then sit out the season and possibly make nothing (not sure if this is guaranteed money or not)......to sign an extension with guaranteed money?? While I agree the Bengals should give him a raise he's doing nothing but biting off his own nose to spite his face by sitting out....IF the money he is due this year isn't guaranteed. Very interesting play by TH

I've heard the money has been agreed upon but not the guarantees, so what you've heard is, more or less, correct based on what Ive heard

Seems petty for such a high-caliber player to be going through this with the team.

Neither defending or attacking the Bengals FO by saying this, but I think Schefter just made some numbers up...
He says yeah, shrugs, nods his head a few times and says it depends on who you're asking. Then says "But ***I*** would say" rather than "I have been told" or "according to a source" and then says "anywhere between" and looks up to the ceiling as he's totally making up a number but then says 5 straight different numbers in a row.
Rappaport will say "I don't know" if he doesn't know.
Schefter will not.
That whole answer, body language, words, and tone just stank of making it up on the spot. Lol

This is right. It’s hard to really say where the hang up is. I doubt it’s just $6,000,000-$10,000,000. Maybe that is the compromised number, but I assume that is just pure speculation.
I think this gets done. Once finalized, almost all the risk is on the bengals. Trey can afford almost next to no fall-off for the contract to not age poorly. I really understand the reluctance of the bengals on this one.
Of course they got it wrong with whit, but they also got it wrong with Geno, and to an extent AJ Green (who should have aged nicely). Green fell off a cliff after 30, but also coming off injury.
