Trey Hendrickson Update
(Yesterday, 03:43 PM)TheLeonardLeap Wrote: This seems like a preseason boredom speculation article.

Over the last 3 years Epenesa has more Sacks, more TFL, more FF, more QB Hits, more PDef, more INT, and more Tackles than Bosa. He's also in his age 27 season vs Bosa's age 30 season.

I think it may be cap issue and Bills have pushed a lot of money down the line and Espenesa was only a 7.5 million cap hit. He will command 16 to 18 million if he has a good year. Bills are loaded up with names on the DL, they question will be if Bosa and Larry O. will produce as both have a ton of wear and tear.

I think reports that Trey’s monetary number has been agreed upon and the holdup is about guaranteed money may not be the whole story. I think he’s willing to take less money with 2 year guarantee. No 2 year guarantee he wants elite money.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I have no idea. I hope they can figure it out. But, if not as they say next man up. If he were injured, they would say the same thing. I hope we see a much better effort and result with first team defense Monday. The 2 Hills and Stone likely out, so chance to see how the backup safeties play. How will Cam play? He is an important piece, he has shown he can cover, but also too many lapses which to me are mental.

I would assume Jenkins will start for Hill.

I think this is our dress rehearsel.

I would think so as well, as least if it's like when the Bengals used to play 4 PS games.
Play the starters about half the game in the 2nd to last PS game, and then use pretty much the entire final PS game to evaluate any roster battles for depth spots.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

I've got a feeling there is a good chance Hendrickson plays this season for Bengals. Rookie Stewart needed Coached Up, but Hendrickson could walk in here and be just fine. I'm thinking once Bengals make roster cuts, after preseason game 3. The money picture will be more clear to front office. Also this defense in preseason is showing they have no pass rush without Hendrickson. So after preseason and the NFL teams make their cuts, I feel this soap opera with Hendrickson ends, and with both Hendrickson and Stewart and the 2nd round LB, Coach Golden molds a defense that gets Burrow, Chase, Higgins back to SUPER BOWL.

Agreed that this game against the Commanders will be the dress rehearsal for the season. Too bad a few players will be out that will be
starters opening day but they are veterans anyways. Would be worse if they were new players trying to learn the scheme. Kris Jenkins
looked good against the Eagles so he should play 3-tech next to Slaton to start out again.

We need to see the communication cleaned up that lead to the big run by Shipley. Need our DL and LB's to play better as a whole.
