What i'm waiting for are the goal line carries for Carter. He got a rush for a TD this past year.
For sure, we definitely got a lot more athletic this Offseason on Defense. Even if you don't like Shemar he is ten times more athletic than Sam was
the last couple of years. Knight is way more athletic than Pratt, same with Barrett Carter who should be a ST's demon for us right off the bat at least.
I thought I remembered Barrett Carter lining up as a RB for Clemson last year, we will see lol

He was great at spying the QB at Clemson, this is what we need to do when playing the running QB's we have to play now a days.

Nobody laugh, Myles Murphy. The guy just can't be a 1 1/2 sack a season player is he ??

I think our defense will have several breakout players.
Jenkins
Hill
Turner
Knight
My number one is Ossai
I think Slayton will be our new DJ Reader
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

As no one has mentioned him yet I’ll go Jordan Battle.
Out of everyone he seems the one best placed to take that step forward to become an undisputed starter. He’s had enough of a taste of the NFL that he knows what it’s about, he’s not returning from injury and he has the opportunity with no one ahead of him in the depth chart. He won a National Championship in College and was a captain.
In a D lacking an identity he has an opportunity to make himself a leader of that unit.

If he gets 4 sacks in 2025, you can say he deed break out.
I hope he plays better, but for a tremendous athlete, he just does not play fast in my humble opinion. I hope he proves me wrong.

The forgotten man in the Trey, Shemar saga. Third year is when D-Line guys break out, if at all.
In addition to Murphy, I will also take Iosivas. More difficult with Chase, Tee and Gisecki on the roster. But I could see a 50/600/8 from Yoshi.

I'll go with the dark horse and say Stewart.
That could be later in the year at this rate but we'll see.
If he can come in and physically dominate and take on bodies that will make the rest of the defense better.
I like a pick along the dline. Jenkins was another good pick I saw earlier.

I'm going to try to make 2 years in a row for "Breakout Player", going with Slayton.

Chase was a breakout player in year 1.
He broke out again last year.

I second this
Through 2024
Mike Brown Owner/GM record: 34 years 232-311-4 .419 winning pct.
Playoff Record: 5-9 .357 winning pct.
Zac Taylor coaching record: 6 years 46-52-1 .470 winning pct.

Dax Hill looked good before his injury. I think Hill shows something more this year.

I think Yoshi adds the deep ball this year and keeps Burton at bay.
Could also see CTB make a comeback

Not trying to put a damper on the good moods, but guys that have a significant knee injury really struggle the year after they come back.
Hoping Dax is an anomoly but I do wonder how effective he will be.

I agree with this.
I think theres a new found focus with some of the younger guys on this roster after they completely shit the bed last year. There were some stories going around about immaturity off the field with that group. Hopefully all of that is behind them.

Joseph Ossai seems like a good pick to me as well. We've heard the coaches talk him up a little this pre-season and I think he'll get more chances/rotations (though some of that depends on where things are with Trey when the season starts). He's 25 so he's entering his physical prime. I could see him being focused working his tail off to make the most of every snap he gets. His career and millions are on the line.
