Tahj Brooks supposedly having a good minicamp

Brooks should make the team as RB4.
At the end of the day, you're talking fringe offensive players who will play mostly/solely ST and hopefully they develop into somewhat of a contributor on offense.
RB4, TE4, WR6-7.
Bengals likely won't carry 15 offensive weapons, so it will come down to who provides the most on ST and/or hope to eventually contribute to offense to keep.

Thanks for the numbers TLL, I was talking about overall college careers though where Tahj lead his division over his career. Not just the last 
season, but yeah all those guys were very productive their last seasons in college. Trayveon Williams was the one who really disappointed me 
as you see his numbers in the SEC.

Pretty sure both Trayveon and Chase Brown lead the nation in rushing at one time in their last year.

Fair enough Nate, but that's just from him playing in college for 5 years, no? That's not actually a positive for RBs as if they're particularly good they're in the NFL 2 years earlier.

The only top-10 rusher last year who played more than 3 years in college was the 9th rusher Aaron Jones who only played 2 games in his 3rd year in college in Conference USA so he went back for a 4th.

Yep exactly. 13-14 is the norm for them.

I think they'll go 4 RB, 4 TE, 6 WR this year.
RB - Brown, Perine, Moss, Brooks
TE - Gesicki, Sample, Hudson, Grandy/McLachlan
WR - Chase, Higgins, Iosivas, Jones, Burton, pure ST guy

If Brooks shows enough though in TC/PS, I could see them letting Moss go in favor of an extra TE, as TEs always seem to be getting hurt.

I actually think we carry 4 RB's this year and go light on WR, with Gesicki being that wildcard (TE/WR) for us.

RB- Brown, Moss, Perine, Brooks. I think we try to control the clock a little more to help the defense.

TE- Gesicki, Sample, Hudson, KOLE TAYLOR- 3 pass catchers, 1 blockers.

WR- Chase, Higgins, Yoshi, Burton, Jones, JORDAN MOORE

-I think the 2 UDFA's have a good shot at making the 53. Moore is that team first captain guy we like who I think is more of a possesion reciever and fills the role of trenton Irwin nicely. Taylor is 6'7 good hands, would cause mismatches in the red zone with Geisicki in the middle.

Things like that are going to start happening more often. Tahj Brooks stayed for his 5th year even though he likely would have been drafted higher in 2024 because Texas Tech paid him a ton in NIL.

Wear and tear might be the only negative I have on Tahj Brooks to your point. Still think he is an instant upgrade in the room as he has good 
vision, is built like a bowling ball and has good burst. Might be our best runner of the RB's. Chase Brown is the lightning, Perine is the sledge 
hammer and Tahj is more in between.

I didn't like losing Khalil Herbert because he was a good, thick runner. But between bringing back Perine and adding Tahj I am happy now.

Well I was never on the Binns train. I did maybe think Auden Tate could of been something with his size and range for a late round pick, but I

Well I was never on the Binns train. I did maybe think Auden Tate could of been something with his size and range for a late round pick, but I 
wouldn't put any of them in the Tahj Brooks mold, where he was a RB in an insanely deep RB class. These players can be studs more likely than
a late round WR behind talent.

I just like to say Golden Binns... I find it endlessly amusing. Those of us that say it probably even have a different winner every year... Though Auden Tate was a consensus multi year winner. For me in shocking fashion Jermaine Burton brought it home last year... Gonna plant my flag right now. In an amazing redemption story Burton is going for at least 600 yards this year and 6 TDs. Nothing but a gut feeling, but I'm dying on that hill.

I getcha brother. Yes, Burton brought it home last year, problem was his head, not his talent. Looks like he might have his head on straight 
more so this year so I can definitely see dying on that hill. I like Tahj though, he is smart as well and a class act.

Yep, balance is huge and Tahj has great balance. That is what puts RB's like Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson and Ashton Jeanty on another realm.

He's a power back and one of the draft objectives was a power back. He's also competent at pass protection. He'll make the team as Moss is an injury question mark and Perine we don't know if he has enough left in the tank.
