Yeah, Pally is quick. Let's hope we see one from her about signing Knight. Rookies start camp on Saturday, so let's hope to see something from Pally, or someone, today or tomorrow. And one on Stewart as well before Saturday.

If i had to bet monies, i'd put it down on the Bengals holding out till the last possible second, then manipulating something to cause Shemar to sign. Probably just up the early guarantee payout, like they should have done in the first place.

The thing that will do is just drive another nail in the perception (reality) that they're penny-pinching misers that will do any and everything to hold on to every dollar until they absolutely have to let it go.

2nd round picks are signing now. A couple of more just signed tonight. I will be shocked if Knight is not signed before TC starts.

If they feel they won't sign Trey, they better get Stewart signed. Can't be missing 2 projected starting DE's.

The 35th pick got 100% gtd. Next up is Judkins for Cleveland. His recent arrest should break that cycle. But we shall see

It's next season and I'm hopeful

The 41st guy just signed at 95% guaranteed. So 8 spots further down we should be around 80-87% gtd…based on the trend…if the Bengals don’t nitpick

Pick 44 is getting 85% gtd

Rumor is Browns are not going to sign Judkins at all due to his arrest. But if he does sign, I agree no way he gets 100% guaranteed or anything close.

well the contracts they have handed out of late and the Free agents they have signed to larger contracts than norm for them tends to weaken your narrative.

You mean like Tee and Ja'Marr? Where they waited and waited and ended up spending more money?

Could you do me a favor and point out these free agents that have signed for more than the norm? I'm really interested to see any evidence that contradicts what i've said.

True, now admit Bengals did a great job with Trey's extension in 2022. Fair is fair. He is a steal for only 16 million base in 2025.

you misread , they broke the norm by signing some FA to larger contracts than the past, so now it is not that they don't sign players to large contracts it is they waited to sign them, got it..

I don't think they did a great job on his extension though.

2022 was the year Trey was paid "the best" of his time here. He was #6 in cap hit and he was making half of what the top guy was making. He was also only making about 75% of what the #3 guy made.

Every other year he's been around #10 in cap hit.  You said he's a "steal". That's Bengals FO mentality and something i'm opposed to; them signing and keeping players 'on the cheap'. I mean, that's literally the debate here. They're cheap and they do everything they can to minimize paying salaries while trying their damndest to not have to pay market value for top players.

Who? Where are the examples?
