Burks had the pass break up on the Stone blitz the flustered Burrow. That is all I saw/heard.

I don't have the time nor interest to go watch hours of snaps.
That's why I look more at stats.
Metrics, if good, should be able to give quicker gauge of good/bad without having to go spend a bunch of time doing my own analysis.
Can you provide some "clear film" for me please?
I've posted links to the youtube vids of TAMUs defense vs the opponent offense, i think maybe 4 or 5 of them, in a couple different places. If i get to sit here for a minute, i'll do some digging but you can search youtube and find results pretty easy. Already cut up and only shows the defensive snaps vs the offense.

He’s been up and down but he has made a good showing.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Logic would suggest that going against the likes of Chase, Tee, Gesicki, Burton, Yosh, ect...should help the young CBs. I mean, they're going to lose some against the starters, they're exceptional. The silver lining is that there are only a handful of teams that can run out a WR corps of that caliber.

Yeah, sounds like a wise strategy: " He coaches the players to get the most out of their talents, then adjusts the scheme to fit those talents. He does not coach a scheme in hopes the players can fit that scheme."

If Mims actually has arthritis he will be dealing with this from now on. There is no cure for arthritis so if Mims really does have it and is already missing playing time because of it, that's not a good sign.

There's no cure, but they can go in and clean it out. If he gets some arthroscopic debridement, it should be a quick recovery

Sounds like the DC we have been wanting all along. High praise from that Jesse James Taylor dude.
If true our Defense is going to be really good this season and in the future while Golden is here.
Makes me excited. If our Defense is good look out, we should be right back in the SB picture.

No doubt, I expect our Defense to give up plays to our Offense if the OL is blocking decent. The question seems to be the OL more and more.

Bro, outside of Chase and Tee who are top level, the receiving corps isn’t what you’re saving it is. Gesicki is okay but he’s not pro bowl. Yosh….I would fully expect a 2nd round pick from big school Michigan, 3rd offseason to shut down anyone not named Higgins or Chase. Reports are he’s struggled a lot except one day. Hopefully that is the catalyst, but I’m not holding my breath.

Even if Mike G, Yosh and Burton aren't that great this is still the best WR core in the NFL as Mike G is pretty much a 6'6" Receiver.
Usually every team falls off after their first 2 WR's and we have the best WR duo.

It was yesterday that DJ Turner was the player of the day and like he said he needs to stack the good days together.

Then why didnt he have the surgery in the off season? Are we going to go through this entire season wondering if Mims thumb is going to act up and if he will be available to play?

In terms of receiving corps, TE inclusive:
1) Bengals: Chase, Higgins, Gesicki, Fant, Yoshi, Burton.
2) Eagles: Brown, Smith, Goddert.
3) Tampa. Godwin, Evans, Egbuka, McIllan, Otton.
4) Minny: Jefferson, Addison, Hoeckenson, Nailor, Moore.
5) Detroit: St. Brown, Williams, LaPorta, Patrick.

I am sure if it was the regular season Mims would just tape it up and play ball. No point this time of year and if he needs surgery he should do
it now even if we don't understand him not getting the surgery all offseason. He will play come regular season especially if it is just arthritis.

Maybe good reason to go after Risner ot Hernandez more so now that Volson struggling and Patrick dinged.
It should have been expected.
It's not common for a new coach to magically make a player blossom, especially after they've been in the league a few years.
Volson is who he is at this point.
Time to cut bait and use the freed up cap to sign Hernandez or Risner and get an upgrade for basically 0 net or even net positive cost.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs
Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.
Sorry for Party Rocking!

All CB's will have bad plays, it is the nature of the competition as WR's in the NFL will make the best cb's look bad. I thought Chase and Higgins both made Ramsey look bad in the Super Bowl, but he is a very good CB.
I know a thing about DB play. 2 things about the Corner position.
1) Unless you're just an elite elite cover guy (Deion, Prime Revis, or the best current CB in the NFL, Derrick Stingley) the position can be fairly scheme dependent. I have not done a deep dive into Golden's scheme, but this could be something that really benefits a guy like Turner's skill set, who's fairly small for corner.
2) While it's not QB or OL, it is still has a runway as a fairly developmental position. He's still pretty young
Overall he has traits that you like and I think can be a top half starting corner in the NFL.
Now I need my guy Newton to start making plays, How has he been looking in camp?
