How often in the NFL do you see 300-pound men flying thru the air like Patrick was.
That is not a strength good job defense it was a WTF moment for the 300 plus pound guy.
How did you get tossed that easy and knocked off balance so badly.

It certainly doesnt inspire confidence amongst fans watching the RG position. I cant believe Bengals coaches or management can watch that and think they are OK at the RG position.

They loved Volson and Hart and Carman and Jordan.

All of them are still playing in the NFL which should give you an idea about how hard it is to find quality linemen.
Bobby Hart is with the Commanders
Carman with the Dolphins and has been moved over to the guard position
Jordan is with the Buccaneers

They aren't starting, I'd wager.
And finding them isn't that hard. We just didn't prioritize them.
Zabel, Jackson, Ratledge, Thuney (via trade), Fries, Daniels, Becton, Zeitler, Jenkins, Hernandez, Risner.
That's 11 guys off the top of my head that were gettable at various price points/draft slots. Now, some are LGs, Fairchild's spot. But still. This is not a situation where we are all scratching our heads saying, "who could we have gotten?"
Burrow is the franchise. Protecting him should be priority #1. Giving him weapons #2. Defense #3. Imagine what he could do with more time and a running game!
The fact that we are in year 6 and these dumb@$$es haven't figured that out yet is grounds for dismissal.

Hernandez was available until 3 days ago
And all the other IOL they missed the chance to sign.
They had no interest in a meaningful fix.
Scherff is retired. Hernandez is not 100% and is signed anyway. So basically Risner and Mason...

We get it, you say the same things over and over again. You are smarter than the FO and you have all of the answers, yet don't have a clue how to run an NFL franchise.
If every team hit every pick and very team signed the best FA's whether their own or from other teams, all teams would win the Super Bowl, wait that is not possible.
We have you on record, first you said Fairchild was not Ratledge, now you say we should have drafted both. You said Knight was a mistake and would have been available in round 3 (early draft analysis from you), now you say we should have traded back for Knight, but you had no trade partner or any idea id he lasts 1 pick or 100.
We get you think you could manage the team better and trash the FO at every turn. It is preseason, I have yet to see fans in past 3 weeks happy about RG, yet you beat the same dead horse. Either we will attempt a trade or sig Risner or what team thinks us an upgrade, or we won't. Your complaining they should have did or that is an exercise in assuming failure so you can say I told you so. Maybe I am wrong, but for me time for us to move on, we can have discussions and hope the team figures out the starting RG roster spot, but to trash draft picks like Knight because you wanted a second guard for example is fruitless, it is done.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Or a trade. I don't know if other teams had a rookie or other player beat out a starting RG, but if so maybe a possibility. We did hit with the BJ Hill pick on defense at this time of year years ago, maybe we cn do the same with a guard. If not, it is what it is and players will have to step up and coaches will need to coach them up to minimize the weak link.

I think we just need to sign a FA guard. I was hopeful for a trade as well but Goodberry had an interesting take a trades for OL that I think rings true. Teams just rarely let them go. Your example of Bj Hill shows it. It took Bj Hill to get Billy Price. It takes alot for a guy who has had big issues. Not a realistic option.
