Biden is silenced by handlers and Spokesperson tells biggest lies daily
#1
Why won't Biden give long press conferences and more smaller interviews daily? They say they are transparent yet Biden hides from the media and then only calls on reporters who gave him questions ahead of time? Is that transparent or is it hiding the POTUS competency and policy decisions from the public?

Why does he spokesperson continue to lie from the podium. Her latest whopper is illegal immigration is down 90% under the Biden administration. That is absurd and despite party affiliation anyone with a brain sees the border being a crisis, even Democratic Senator Sinema agrees and is co-sponsoring a bill to deter illegal immigrants coming in after Title 42 ends.
The Washington Post (liberal paper) gives her Pinocchio's  all the time.

Why isn't everyone upset the spokesperson for the POTUS continues to spread disinformation.

I can't answer for everyone, but personally I don't need to hear from the POTUS every day...any of them.  In fact I wish more politicians would shut up more.

And the spokesperson answers mostly dumb question in dumb ways usually.  I don't think we're going to get clear, good information either way.

Although if she lies well enough maybe she can become a governor someday!  Ninja

Biden at the WHCA dinner:

"In a lot of ways this dinner sums up my first two years in office," Biden said. "I'll talk for 10 minutes, take zero questions, and cheerfully walk away."

And they clapped like seals.

They hid him in the basement for the last campaign. He’ll likely use the same strategy since the media goes along with it.

So is he hiding, or always lying, or incapable of speaking, or a mastermind, or, or, or...?

Yes. Especially the mastermind part.

In regards to the 90% claim:

https://cis.org/Arthur/Fact-Check-Illegal-Immigration-Down-90-Percent-Thanks-Biden

Two sources not kind to the current administration highlighting that while broadly wrong, when put into context there is a figure that matches what she said.

So it's the best kind of lie, the kind that doesn't address what is actually being asked but is technically true from a certain perspective.  I get that's politics as usual but it doesn't make it any less wrong.

Biden speaks too little. Trump talked too much. Personally, I prefer not hearing from the President every single day. But I wish you guys would make up your minds. Either Joe is an evil mastermind or he is demented. Can't be both.

As for press spokespeople. Sean Spicer's very first press conference after the inauguration in 2017 was to stand there and insist that it was the most viewed one ever...a provable lie. And sadly his stint didn't get better. Kayleigh McEnany's first lie was to say she wouldn't lie. So you grab 1 comment from the current Press Secretary that might be dodgy. 1 statement...not the pattern from the previous administration

I can't blame them for sticking with what got them there.

Dude that ran his mouth all day and then more at 3am on Twitter lost. The guy in the basement that never talks won.

In football, if you can run the ball on a defense, you continue to do so until they figure out a way to stop you.

Maybe they'll figure out a way, maybe they won't, but they playbook is about the same.

He's neither.  Forgive the conspiracy theory sounding nature of what's to follow, but I think he's clearly a puppet controlled by others.  I've had to watch both parents spiral into Alzheimer's or dementia, my father currently dealing with the later.  He's Biden's age and he's much sharper than Biden currently is, and that's, sadly, not saying much.

We all know the press secretary is there to spin/obfuscate/lie, this surprises no one.  I think what's notable is the KJP is so obviously bad at it.  Spicer was bad, she makes him look like P.T. Barnum.

I don't know too much about the current spox, but it seems like she was off her game or rattled for some reason. Possible she didn't retain the information correctly. Hard to say, really. It's a bad look, sure, but I don't really say these sorts of things are right or wrong. I'm willing to call out lies when I hear/see them no mater what side they fall on, this just seems like something different than that.

I don't disagree entirely.

Strangely, I think some people find some comfort in the idea of a guy that just becomes a placeholder rather than a dominant and vocal firebrand.  People got a big dose of that in the previous 4 years and likely felt some fatigue.  Biden isn't inspiring or overly threatening, and his lack of material makes him more difficult to attack.

Let's face it.  The Dems don't have a lot of A-list talent ready to compete in a general.  Biden is buying them time while they spin their wheels and try to keep Trump from a second term.

As for conspiracies, I'm beginning to fully believe that Dem strategists pushed the notion of charging DJT not to convict him, but to elevate him.  They knew he was the formula for another Biden victory.  Maybe the only formula.  He was looking beatable until the indictment.  Now DeSantis is flailing while Trump is right back in the national conversation as a heavy favorite.

Such an inappropriate act to boot, SMDH.

Yep, inappropriate and inhumane when a person with R next to their name does it, but "oh, how humanitarian" when a person with a D next to their name does it.  Media needs to get their heads out of their asses and go back to just telling the story.

Who has called it humanitarian?

Then you got the gist. I mean that sincerely. She’s impossibly bad at it.

MSNBC host Jen Psaki seemed very good at it and treated it almost as sport as to what she could spin.
