Biden's net worth is estimated to be $7-9 million dollars. Their homes, in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach, are estimated to be worth abt $4,000,000.  The Wilmington house was purchased in 1996 with the proceeds of the sale of the house they had lived in for 20 years.  That house was bought for $185,000 in 1974 and sold in 1996 for $1.2 million.  They bought the beach house in 2017 with the proceeds from his VP memoirs and speaking fees.  The net worth also includes his pension from his 50-year-long federal employment.  His retirement fund is estimated at $1,000,000

Most of his net worth came from 2017-2019 when he was not in government service nor running for office.

So yeah, he's wealthy, but in this day and age, he is not crazy rich.

I am not one to say that folks in government aren't doing shady things, but Biden has been in the government for a long, long time. Senators and House reps make fantastic money. When Biden became a senator in 1973, he made $42,500 - equivalent to $297k in today's money. That purchasing power declined over the years, but Biden has probably cashed in an average career salary of $200k for the last 50 years. Couple that with smart investments and savings and it is completely feasible that someone could have accumulated wealth like that.

Now, does that mean I am saying he has never done anything shady? No, of course not. They very well could have, but he has also made top-notch money for long enough that it isn't surprising that he is wealthy. All Senators and House reps today make a salary of $174k.

Well, as you seem to continuously fail to grasp, unsurprisingly, Hunter is not a public servant.  Seeing that this is the case, Idc if he's daddy rich.  I didn't elect him.  You keep chasing boogeymen.  

Biden has done infinitely more in public service than Trump could dream of.  The only reason Trump got anywhere in life is because he was born on 3rd.  Biden was not.  If Trump had been born to any other family he'd be just like every other screw up loser that flunked out of community college, screwed around on his wife, got ruined by divorce, and died an insignificant death.

I would add there is only one reason they needed to keep this a secret, it was Hunter's cocaine. Anyone having an issue the Secret Service saying they will conclude the investigation as early as today (8 days into it) even if they did not find the guilty party.

The scary part is instead of cocaine, this could have been anthrax. My first thought when the story broke, was holy crap someone got anthrax in. the white house.

The other part is I am not sure why they did not drug test those who had access. If they really wanted to find the person, this should have been done. All white house staff agree to random drug tests, if the staffer brought a guest in, they should have drug tested them as well. I believe it is as simple as grabbing a hair off of their head.

The other part is the changing of locations just made no sense. The hazmet team said it was in the library, then it changed to 2 or 3 different locations ending with locker 50. The location should be easily confirmed by Congress by interviewing the Hazmet team that found the cocaine. WH spokes person looked like an idiot, changing locations daily, then lying and saying Biden's were not in white house on Friday. They were until 6:30 p.m. All the little lies point to a Biden family member, right or wrong, but that is the perception.
