I don’t know if I’m going to even follow this one. Half the country is going to point at the other half. It will be political by noon. I’ll just figure a white hispanic black a Muslim did it.

I hope that, regardless of the shooter's motive, we can have at least a day or two to mourn these poor people with out politicizing this horrific event.

I'm a bit surprised that these big hotels don't have metal detectors. But I know they have huge traffic turnover, even bi weekly.. Not to mention they get a lot of inner mingling traffic between casinos.

Good reminder. These poor people and their families need the country's love and support.

I just don't know what to say, there is nothing that can be said.

My prayers for those murdered and injured and to those who were in attendance of this concert and to the families and friends.

Their lives will be forever changed and there just aren't any words that I can say to make things better. All I can do is support the only way I can be offering my prayers.

Looking at some of the videos, a real life nightmare, can't even imagine. It's quite harrowing to think of all the bystanders that jumped into medic roles to help out complete strangers. A reminder of what humanity really is during a horrifically inhumane event.

Interesting reaction, since I have yet to see any political comments about this incident.

Not here necessarily, but at some point today we will find out what the person's politics/religion were, and that will be that.

I maintain that it's possible to delve into the "why" of a matter such as this without disregarding the victims but if the majority wants to hold off I'll respect that.

Virtually every response I saw online was political.

It's sad.

An intellectual discussion of the why is fine, and I think possible here which is why I'll find out what happened here.  But be assured that nationwide this will become evil trumptard or evil libtard.

This is total non sense.

Condelences to the victims and their families.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

There will always be people who will use any crime to justify their preconceived notions and there will always be people who think attempting to understand criminal behavior is "justifying it."  Things like this are tragic and then the societal attempts to just pretend it's yet another daily dose of unpredictable bad luck make it a one-two punch.

Sucks that these happen so frequently. Just have to hope you're not in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Two quotes come to mind whenever these pop up:

"When evil men plot, good men must plan. When evil men burn and bomb, good men must build and bind. When evil men shout ugly words of hatred, good men must commit themselves to the glories of love." -MLK

And

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." -Burke

I just found out a few minutes ago. Grieving for all the victims and their loved ones and families. I honestly don't know what can possess someone to commit pure evil such as this on people celebrating and having an honest good time, other than evil itself. May all of them rip
