FBI to re-open investigation?

Ok, so if they find criminal activity, what do they do?
#2
They actually aren't reopening the investigation. They are assessing emails to see if they contain classified information at all, and if they do, if they are pertinent to the investigation.

They aren't reopening it, they don't even know if these emails matter at all. He was just notifying people that there was new information.

The "I didn't know" defense only has to hold up for about 10 more days, then she can pardon herself.

While Comey did not specifically say that the investigation has officially been reopened, his actions in sending a letter to Congress stating the finding of new evidence, certainly shows a reopening of the issue itself.

Word is emails were found on a device Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin shared during an investigation regarding Weiner.

Comey had said at the close of the investigation that he would notify these individuals were there to be new information. This is new information and he is letting them know. It isn't a reopening of the issue, that will come if they find that the new information has any significance.

A former head of the DOJ's public relations is blasting him for his press conference this summer and this. Says you never discuss ongoing investigations the way he has, especially since so much is not publicly available. It can be nothing, but making an announcement like this gives the perception that it could be huge.

I heard about that. He is in a tough spot, a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

Back to E-mails?

Yawn.

Come back with the proof that Hillary is ripping babies out of their mothers and bathing in their blood.

Comey is covering himself. He's already taken heat from Republicans for not charging her. If something new that warrants a look comes to light, he'd be in deep trouble if he didn't let someone know ASAP. TBH, the guy is in a tough spot.

I think we're really going to see every iota of shit these two have on each other in the next 10 days. That may not have been the case if Clinton continued to coast without any major hits for the remainder of the campaign. Probably not anymore. It's only a matter of time before another revelation about Trump comes out. It's worked that way pretty much the entire time.

It's either huge, or nothing.

Come needs to clarify what is going on. Misinformation is just flying around right now.

It would be hilarious if the sexual predator that ultimately defeats Hillary....isn't Trump

Nothing another 45 minute chat on the tarmac with Bill, about grandchildren of course, can't fix.

To be fair, that meeting was accidental.

All-in-all, which of the two is dumber for doing what they did on a shared phone?

Did I hear correctly that Hillary did a press conference to address this? She hasn't done a press conference her whole campaign so that's some heavy duty damage control if it's true.

How can they expect to find any criminal activity when none has been found in this: http://www.newsweek.com/2016/09/23/george-w-bush-white-house-lost-22-million-emails-497373.html

The magnitude of things like this increases exponentially as we get closer to the election. The less time people have to forget it, the more work needs to be done to make sure it is not damaging.
