No, that's not a "point"...that's inane.

Sure you can find someone, somewhere to say something....but you have to look at their credentials and what the majority are saying.  Views change over time with new evidence.

The POTUS think exercise wears out your heart and body and you'll die younger.  You're a former gym teacher....what do you think?

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, stunned the nation this afternoon when he accidentally revealed to the nation that he was holding a “cheat sheet” of notes to help him through a listening session with the grieving families of mass shooting victims and the survivors of these atrocities.

Containing such helpful notes as “what would you most want me to know about your experience” and “I hear you,” the notes paint a picture of a man so devoid of an ability to empathize with others that he must be reminded to pretend that he feels the pain and heartbreak of  people who have endured intensely traumatic experiences.

Time and time again, when faced with people who have undergone terrible suffering, Trump is unable to muster up any real emotion – like when he gave a thumbs up when visiting the victims of the Parkland, Florida school shootingsor when he told the victims of Hurricane Harvey to have a “great time”,  or when he engaged in a public and despicable feud with the widow of a fallen Green Beret.

It is beyond embarrassing and reprehensible that we have somehow elected a leader that has to be publicly coached into showing emotion for people who have lost their kids in horrifying massacres.

Social media immediately erupted in mockery and in fury of our sociopathic president. Here’s a selection of the best responses.

To help him simulate human reactions, Trump's minders gave him a cheat sheet that prompted him to say things like "I hear you" during the WH listening session on the #Parkland shootings. [@AP Photo by Carolyn Kaster]

Didn’t make Anything up. I have been on a Crisis team at a high school when there are deaths. These are known standards to follow.

Do I feel a desire to hunt down this stuff in my old teaching materials for someone who has zero interest other than to antagonize? Nope.

I have no words for this.

Folks are really ripping POTUS because he engaged in conversation and that he had notes to help tell him how best to respond to a delicate situation?

Many folks need to check themselves.

Geezus AR-15s are for girls.

Why not carry something belt-fed, like this SAW. The ladies love this stuff and school shooters would think twice before walking into that fire.      Tacti-cool or what!

I was about to post about that. The sack of shit doesn't know how to show empathy unless given a cheat sheet.

If those were really his notes, then yes.   And I don't think folks are upset because he "engaged in a conversation."
His how to be a human being cheat sheet should have also told him that sulking with his arms crossed is a bad idea.

Yes, yes they are because a human being should not need notes to know how to talk to people in a "delicate situation".

I'd venture that 99% of the posters on this board could have that conversation without notes.

Notes that say: "I hear you"...."What do you want me to know...."

These are conversational things that a 70 year old (alleged) man should be able to do.

Yes, yes he is being ripped and deservedly so.

Well, to people who expect the POTUS to be able to have a human conversation about anything other than himself without notes to remind him what to say.

It is not the fact that he had notes. (although I don't remember you being so shocked and offended when people ripped Obama for using a teleprompter)  It is what the notes said.

It wasn't a list of names he had to remember.  It wasn't a bunch of complicated facts or figures.  It was a list of what any person capable of compassion would say in that situation.

I don't care if someone uses notes or a teleprompter to convey a complex statement, but it troubles me when our President needs notes in order to sound human.

Yes, but if pretend that people are upset about something they are we can divert the conversation away from a "man" who needed to be reminded to say things like "I hear you".

He didn’t use anything on that sheet.

Who cares what some assistant gave him at the last moment.

Your embarrassment aside; I have no idea why folks would be upset that someone not versed in grief counseling would bring crib notes to help him/her how to better respond.

There is a perverse population out there that cares more about what aids he used than the message he tried to share with a grieving population.

The best part was probably when Trump suggested arming teachers and putting undercover cops in the schools as custodians and cafeteria workers.

He asked for a show of hands for support and got barely any hands up. He then asked who didn't like it and more hands went up.

Either way, I guess I'm getting a free gun and a new co-worker. Can't wait for my PD days to be spent with target practice.

I watched the whole thing, I know he didn't use it. He showed zero empathy.

As a speaker, the guy is useless if he's not able to talk about himself or people he hates.
