You don't know my personal reasons for making that joke so you certainly shouldn't label me as being pitiful and full of hatred.

Should be able?  Yes.

Should do it?  No.

But I actually agree with you partially.

I have supported a plan where we all have free access to healthcare like most other industrialized countries with an option to buy "better" insurance that gets you specialized care from those who want to charge more for it.  Would create a market for the really good doctors and specialists to compete for the business of the richer population while also giving them a base of guaranteed income from the rest of the country.

I like capitalism, but comparing life saving medical treatment to buying a fancy schmanzy boat you don't need can come off as a bad look.

Actually i will admit that I find it bitterly amusing that a man who has gleefully cheated on all of his wives including Melania sleeps alone.

I remember a brilliant doctor who created a polio vaccine.

He was "able to charge huge money" for his services but didn't.

Instead he made sure that millions got the vaccine for free.

Because he didn't think access to healthcare was in the same category as access to fancier cars, bigger boats, gadgets

A moment we are living in.

An October surprise like no other.

Conservative media was actually blaming his supporters for making him feel like he couldn't wear a mask and forcing him to play Mr. Tough Guy (paraphrasing).

Thoughts and Prayers tho. He is the American President and if something happens to him because of Covid, it will be a (nother) black eye for American history under this Presidency.

Blaming his supporters?  That's hard to believe...have they run out of democrats to blame?

Seriously though they're actually blaming God fearing county loving Trump supporters for bullying Trump into exposing himself to covid?

Trump is 74
Pence is 61
Pelosi is 80
Grassley is 87

That's the order...minus the inevitable court challenges from the GOP.

Let's all hope it doesn't come to this.

We should also be happy that Trump has Covid-19 and not the more dangerous "Chinese Virus" that was awful (and a hoax). Ninja

Maybe they're hiding his positive test for fear of causing a panic.

Sorry, that hatred thing wasn't directed specifically at you.  I meant the seething hate for Trump in general.

That's great, but he didn't have to and I am sure he was compensated handsomely in different ways.

It still doesn't change the fact that a brilliant Doctor should be able to open his own private practice and charge whatever he wants.

Trump is an unapologetically bad person and I don't begrudge anyone who doesn't like him.  I wouldn't recommend people give themselves ulcers over the guy, but from a rational standpoint I can see why people actively dislike a man who thrives off of being a villain and bully.

In this case he mocked people for taking safety precautions and he is now facing the consequences.  I'm not going to bat for someone who makes hay by being a bastard.

EDIT - I also see why people hate Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Lennon, and disco...but disco is awesome. Still, I can understand the hate.

Doctors do charge huge money. Insurance companies reimburse for less than what they charge. You and I will pay two different amounts for the same thing based upon our insurance.

I heard that on the radio. He’s still in the incubation period so he can be infected, but test negative. If Pence was exposed to Hicks or Trump he should isolate, also.
