The question was is it ok for people with more money to get "better" health care?

I said yes.  A brilliant Doctor can open a private practice and charge whatever they wants.  That would limit the people able to afford his abilities and services.

It still doesn't change the fact that a brilliant Doctor should be able to open his own private practice and charge whatever he wants.

A brilliant doctor can open a private practice and charge whatever. But, they won’t be reimbursed the full amount if they participate in an insurance plan.

Just so I understand the sequence of events.

Trump bombs in the first presidential debate > audio leaks of Melania bitching about Christmas decorations and children in cages > both of them have COVID-19 and have to postpone all upcoming activities.

Interesting timing.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Him mocking Biden for wearing a mask and holding events with smaller crowds just looks horrible now.

Also he is showing symptoms which isn't good news.

How do you catch a Democrat hoax anyway? From unprotected, consensual debate? Do symptoms include a burning sensation for socialism, open borders, and gun confiscation every time you pee?

That is one of the conspiracy.

I just heard that Hicks was isolating before they got back this week.  I don't know she was showing symptoms or if it was for another reason.  None of that was released to the news until now.

For those who weren't aware of Melania's war on Christmas (since we already knew she really didn't care about kids in cages)

That’s the system we have right now. So you can’t say doctors should be able to charge huge amounts and then expect to have any credibility when complaining about the huge amounts they charge for healthcare.

I shared that breaking news in its own thread.

Definitely has a classy mouth, eh?

In this case he mocked people for taking safety precautions and he is now facing the consequences.  I'm not going to bat for someone who makes hay by being a bastard.

EDIT - I also see why people hate Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, John Lennon, and disco...but disco is awesome. Still, I can understand the hate.

And I also understand why people don't like Trump.  It's the immense hatred that is sad.  Hatred to me means you wouldn't blink an eye if that person dies.

I personally think Biden and Harris will be far, far, far worse for the USA in many ways than Trump if elected.  Do I hate them?  No.  Would I get giddy if they got Covid?  No  Would I respect the fact that they won.  Yes  Would I hope for their failure?  No, that would be hoping for America to fail.  I understand the dislike, I don't understand the head popping, seething hatred.

I'm still kind of good with people being able to buy private insurance as long as everyone else has access to the medical help they need without going broke because they got sick.

That's not hatred to me.  That is completely not caring at all about them because they don't deserve the effort.

I'm not a hateful person, but I hate Donald Trump.  He made a very short list.

Think of me what you will, but I won't give a single **** if things go south for him.

I did not realize you hated the 205K (and counting) Americans who died from Covid.

I don't like Trump, I think he is a horrible person and president all around. I don't wish for him to die. Similar to Bolsonaro's case, I can not deny a hint of schadenfreude though. That is based on the fact that he recklessly downplayed the threat for months and by that imho endangered many many lifes. For his own perceived benefit.
Maybe he won't do so any longer, that would be a positive coming out of the positive. But I do wish him a speedy recovery.

Trump shouldn't have resisted the safety measures.  Stop resisting.

If the "stop resisting" was for me, I'm not resisting.  I wear a mask where I am supposed to.

So should people with money not have access to bigger homes, fancier cars, boats, gadgets?

Just... no.

This bold actually made me VERY angry; healthcare should be goddamn universal and available to every person, regardless of class/money.

Only an American would think this way, while the rest of the world (save for Japan, for some reason) realizes that nobody should be denied access to life saving/altering medications and treatment, because they, "can't afford it."

As someone who probably would have passed away due to cancer at a young age, if my country did not have free healthcare, you can just eat a massive bag of dicks.
