Report: Tee Higgins could be traded if extension can't be reached

The only reason we have got close the past two years with the shambles of an o line we have is because we have two true wr1s inagine Burrow without one or the other having to scurry out the pocket praying to find someone.

Yes we won without Chase for a few games but they were poor teams under a full season we have no chance.

I’d trust Lou to make starters out of rough diamonds I would not trust Zac with anything other than an elite wr core and Burrow.

Unless we decide to go all in on a proper ol that will give Burrow all day even with the upgrades last season it was only an average line.

It's hard to imagine us being able to hold onto #2 WRs because Burrow is going to make them look like they should be #1s who are trapped behind Chase.

Then you go short on defence and trust Lou to turn 5th/6th rounders in to starters.

Those 3 are the future of the franchise and have to be kept together.

Who's gonna give that up for him? I can only think of a few WR needy teams, and some of them have even bigger issues.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

The key part is a good offensive line. If they have to part with Tee in order to do something more with the line, it's a fair trade. Mahomes on a gimpy ankle was able to make play after play last Sunday because of his line.

If you take Burrow's numbers from the Jets game to the Bucs game--after the line settled in and before Collins went down--Burrow posted a 108 passer rating with 28 tds and 6 ints and was only sacked 24 times in 12 games.

Boy....now all the prognosticators are throwing stuff against the wall to see what sticks now that the Bengals off-season is official.

Nothing like thinking up ways that our stars might, maybe, perhaps leave the team.

Don't see this as anything more than a ploy for click bait.

Why? He's not a top receiver, at least he hasn't shown to be yet. He's proven to be a top 2 or low 1.

He proved he was a 1 during the stretch where Jamarr was out

Not sure why anyone would be surprised by this...
Many of us have been saying he could probably be a WR1 on some other teams, and he'll want to get paid like it.
I'm expecting $20+ mill APY for Higgins' next contract, and that's too rich for a WR2 with Chase expected to get a big contract 1-2 years after Higgins.

People need to be prepared to see Higgins and/or Boyd leave in FA.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

Are we going to be able to afford $20+ million on a #2 WR?  When does this all shake out?  Don't we need to give Burrow and Chase a buttload of bucks?

Burrow would definitely miss his high point grabs downfield...much like what Mike Williams doeas for LAC and Herbert and Chase would have a hard time without him. I hope he stays with us at least next yr and then see what shakes later.
What is trade value at this point? I see him worth at least a # 1 and a #3

Regardless of what happens with Tee the WR corps needs to be upgraded. Love Tee! Love to keep him, but TB is getting up there, Irwin is a nice little piece but not a starter, and Taylor needs to be upgraded at PR. Going to have to address the WRs soon regardless.

We really need this dude. We struggled more when Tee was out than Chase. Not saying Tee is better, but when you have a chance to have 2 #1 WR’s to pair with Burrow you have to make it work.

I thought this was his favorite team growing up? I know money trumps everything but I would think he would be willing to work with the front office in a fair deal.

The trade off would be a noticeably better o-line and run game

Plus they’d replace Tee with multiple guys like kc did with Tyreek

It just makes too much sense to trade tee and help with wr depth and o-line

Pick up a jump ball specialist for a small contract, then pick up a 800 yard caliber wide receiver. Turn Irwin into the 5th receiver instead of the 4th

I mean I guess. He had 2 good games and 2 bad games.

For the 2022 season Tee Higgins had the 3rd most Yards per Target for WRs with over 100 targets.

One of the giant TEs in this draft is going to help with the jump ball catching. There are about 6-8 potential immediate starters in this year's group.

He's clearly a #1 that fell into the second round. He shouldn't have been there in the second. He will get a ton of money thrown at him. It's going to boil down to his brotherhood here and how closely the FO can matchup with those offers.

Think, Dallas Cowboys.

He averaged 92.75 Yards per game during the stretch. Justin Jefferson and Tyreek Hill were the only WRs in the NFL to finish with a higher Yards/game

Tee Higgins will be hard to replace this WR draft class isn't getting shining endorsements. Makes it even worse isn't many guys in this draft close to Tee's size especially at the top. Not to mention you aren't just replacing a receiver but one of the biggest play makers on the offense.
