STUPID Play Call On Opening INT Lost Us The Game.......

It is. But only completing 60% of your passes for a 84.5 rating with only 21 passing TD’s to 17 INT’s wasn’t that great. Not top 5 anyway.

Oh, it's good. It just doesn't relate to impossible expectations and their longevity, from the beginning of year one. Cam put up the total yards and touchdowns that top 5 QBs put up by passing alone, his first couple years. He also threw 29 interceptions in his first two years.

I'm speaking against the unrealistic expectations of Burrow coming in throwing for 4,000+ yds, 30+ tds and <10 ints every year.

I guess that's true if you think a QB's only job is to pass.

Even with his rushing stats he wasn’t quite top 5.

Brees - 5476 yds 46 TD
Brady - 5235 yds 39 TD
Stafford - 5038 yds 41 TD
Eli - 4933 yds 29 TD
Rodgers - 4643 yds 45 TD (+ 257 rushing yds & 3 TD)

Cam had a very good rookie season, but rfaulk is right, it’s extremely rare for a QB to come in and be a top 5 QB right off the bat. Especially a #1OA that went to a team that earned that draft spot.

Joe Namath.

3rd in passer rating
4th in pass tds
6th in pass yards.

*in the AFL

Add in the NFL and Namath was, at best, middle of the pack. 68.7 passer rating. In years 2 and 3 he threw 27 and 28 ints.

Nothing's for sure but it seems like a likely possibility.

Opinion, and...opinion.  Here's a thought.  Accept the fact that we lost, and get over it.  We have way, way bigger problems than that one play.  And I leave you to continue this debate with Mr. Faulk.  Yo Adrian, get in here!
