Scrimmage Day
#21
Just saw Baby's tweets... burrow just threw his first incompletion making him 8/9
Josh Rosen has gone 6/14
Tua has gone 6/15

Joe seems to be having a much better day than Tua.

I hope he is able to connect well with faster guys like Green and Ross too.

Apparently connecting well with Erickson, Thomas and Boyd as well.

Also Finley apparently looking good

Down to him and Perine for the final spot and personally, I'd like to see Patrick.

Either the OL is for real, or the Run Defense is as bad as it was last year..

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

The new Modern NFL elite talents start producing instantly Look at Kyler, Luck, Wentz, Wilson, Dak, we will have a elite QB right from the jump.

Awesome. Love hearing this stuff. Tate could be a great Red Zone weapon for Burrow, just have to use him more there.

Having an accurate QB will also help Tate and the others so they don't always have to make circus catches.

Carson Wentz had a losing record and a 79 passer rating (25th) his rookie year.

Andrew Luck had a 76.5 passer rating (26th) as a rookie and threw almost as many interceptions (18) as tds (23)

Kyler Murray won 5 games and finished 21st in passer rating as a rookie.

Here are the rookie seasons of other QBs taken in the top 10 picks of the draft over the last decade.

Blaine Gabbert.......65.4 rating
Josh Rosen...........66.7
Josh Allen.............67.9
Blake Bortles..........69.5
Tannehill...............76.1
Bradford................76.5
Trubisky................77.5
Sam Darnold.........77.6

Not saying Burrow will stink. IN fact I thnk he will do better than most of the QBs on that list.  But I am just saying that he might not be "elite" his rookie season.

Off the top of my head. Looks like you're missing RGIII and Cam Newton

Agree with this, too high of expectations if you are thinking Burrow will be elite in his rookie year, don't see that happening.

Think he will be better than all those guys though and maybe even better than Mayfield was his rookie season.

I never said they were all bad.  I was just pointing out that they were not all immediately elite as rookies.

Just curious what was Dalton's rating? He was pretty good his rookie season.

I think he had it filtered on anything below Andy Daltons 2019 passer rating (78.3)

I’m seeing 80.4 for his 2011 rookie season.
