Stupid Things Said At The Democratic Debate
#1
Watching this debate just had me thinking "can they really be this stupid?"

It gave me faith that Trump will win in a landslide!  That is, of course, unless all these liberal college kids come out to vote against Trump even though they have no clue why they hate him.

One stupid thing I heard said was "we should release the people that were captured trying to come into this country illegally until they can have their trial."

Release them?!  Release them where?!  You think that, when you release them back into Mexico or the United States, they're going to think "oh, hey, it would be really smart for me to show up to this trial!"?

The Democrats just look stupid and disorganized.  They're all grasping for straws.

Anybody else enjoy watching that shit-show?

What was your favorite part?

My favorite part was when no one commented on their penis size. I also liked when they spoke in complete sentences, made fact based arguments, and didn't slur minorities.

To build on  Bmore's theme it was wild to see a group of responsible competent adults (mostly?). Bunch of weirdos if you ask me. And only one person to acknowledge trump is the greatest threat to this country... Yeehaw buckaroo must have never met the trumpets.!!

With no examples!

Typical Pat move.

As for the rest, bashing Trump instead of using logic.  Like I keep saying, though, that's the Dems' only shot at winning.

Thanks for proving my points  ThumbsUp

Whoa whoa whoa? When was the last time you loosened your MAGgot hat?

Last time i checked my "Reality TV Show Host Conman Serial Sexual Assaulters Handbook" nobody said anything about logic. And it was all about bashing.

So what did you mean winning.? The bashing or the logic?

Brad, what will happen after their trial?

A "typical Pat move" would be for me to provide a solid argument with quantifiable data. I've learned that some people don't care about facts so I just don't worry about that with some people.

However, example: the entire debate contained no comments on penis size, contained full sentences, and contained no slurs against minorities.

In terms of fact based arguments, there were numerous.

Cory Booker on healthcare:

Quote:“We’re talking about this as a health care issue, but in communities like mine — low-income communities — it’s an education issue because kids who don’t have health care are not going to succeed in school. It is an issue for jobs and employment because people who do not have good health care do not succeed at work. It’s even a retirement issue because in my community African Americans have a lower life expectancy because of poorer health care. And so where I stand is very clear: Health care, it’s not just a human right, it should be an American right.”

Elizabeth Warren on clean energy and pollution:

Quote:"There’s going to be a worldwide need for green technology, ways to clean up the air, ways to clean up the water. We can be the ones to provide that. We need to go tenfold in our research and development in green energy going forward."

Jay Inslee on green jobs

Quote:“The next thing I’ll do is put people to work in the jobs of the present and the future. Donald Trump is simply wrong. He says wind turbines cause cancer. We know they cause jobs."

Ehh, the candidate who said the most stupid stuff in 2016 won the election, so I wouldn't be so sure that democrats acting like a bunch of unhinged idiots means they can't win.

You think people don't know why they hate Trump?

I think there's a much better chance you're just not listening to them when they explicitly tell you why they hate him.

Whoa whoa whoa buckaroo!! Are you trying to say an unhinged democrat can beat the russia/trump/electoral college election rigging machine?

Trump made a joke implying penis size because Rubio made fun of the size of his hands and implied that he had a small penis.  Not exactly like they were filming a porno on stage.  A joke in good fun.  After Bill Clinton and Monica (along with all the other women), you it's hilarious that you bash him for that joke!

When has he used gay slurs against minorities other than saying that Mexico has criminals crossing the boarder illegally (hint: they do, and, actually, everyone who crosses illegally is a criminal).

And every argument should be fact-based and logical, but many weren't.

They're all pretty clueless and irrational.

If you watch people confronting them at rallies and things, they all just scream, threaten violence, and have no substance or reasoning behind hating him.

Maybe...but America seems to be on a steady routine of an 8 year cycle where we elect someone, then elect ANYONE who is of the opposite political party of the guy we loyally stuck with for 8 years.

I was in grad school in NY when Bush was up for re-election and I said he's probably going to get a 2nd term and then no matter who the democrats dig up in 2008, the democrat will win.  Then I was in rural PA when Obama was elected and people were immediately talking about how obvious it was that he was a weak one term president.  I pointed out that barring insane happenings, that Obama would be in for 8 years and then whomever the republicans dig up (no matter how insane) will win in 2016.

I will say that Trump has sort of broken the mould because his election and his presidency has been so bizarre, but I can certainly see him getting another 4 years and his fan base being thrilled until they realize 8 years of Trump is going to open the door for the most insane left-winger to waltz right into the white house...for 8 years.

I'm a cynic, but if Trump wins in 2020 I don't see politicians catering to sane people any time soon.  It's going to be a debate of free walls versus free college versus free jingoism vs free healthcare and so on.

Ok, but it doesn't matter if the people who are anti-Trump are sane or not, or if they have any idea why they are voting for "not Trump."  Illogical votes still count, so the fact that anyone is bothering to get riled up against Trump isn't going to help his case. That's the great thing about this country. I can go to the voting booth and say "I'm voting for (candidate name) because I'm 87% sure he's actually a giraffe in disguise!" and my vote counts as much as someone who actually know two things about the country.

Just looking for a bit of clarity about your posts above.

Would it be fair to say that you prefer candidates who make rational arguments and base policies on Logic and facts? You are defending Trump based upon those values? You don't like politicians and voters who are "clueless"? That means you want politicians to know how government works and how to make coherent policy?

Also, you are sure that people who "hate" Trump don't have any good reasons to? No "substance" or "reasoning." Or maybe there are good reasons, but those reasons are not the basis of their hate?

Do I understand you correctly?  If I do it seems you are saying that Trump is upholding rational, fact-based political discourse in the US and Democrats are undermining those standards.  I am not misreading you, right?

I didn't bash him specifically, that was a bash against both him and Rubio for both mentioning penis size in a Presidential debate. But, thanks for confirming that I was right.

Gay slurs?

Also, thanks for confirming his use of slurs.

A little more than many at his rally weren't, but I am glad we both agree that facts and logic matter. Hopefully Trump begins to appreciate both.

When watching the Repub primaries back in 2016 , once Trump started insulting and calling everyone names, the rest of those candidates looked like deers caught in the head lights. You could see the fear in their eyes. Jeb Bush looked like he was going to cry. There were a few feeble attempts at coming back at Trump but overall Trump exposed what a bunch of opportunistic losers they all really were. I couldn't stomach any of them, thats why I went with Trump. Live and learn.

What are you talking about???
Almost everyone of them slurred a minority.
the 1%'ers.
They are keeping us all divided by attacking them and telling everyone that we are going to make sure they are taxed to hell and back.

That about sums it up

Most of my far right friends decided after the first debate that trump was already the winner. I didn't watch the debates but I don't think most of the far righters did either. When you ask somebody what was said it's either "they talked about x, y,z" or it's "they talked about how they're gonna take your stuff!_
