Per Andrew Filipino, 93.7 the fan:
Sources: The Steelers have had internal discussions about trading for Bengals WR Tee Higgins. They love the player. But there’s questions about acquisition cost and his next contract cost. Plus there’s the issue of the Bengals trading him in the AFC North.

Bengals would win the trade by a large margin.

Hell no. We'd be strengthening a division rival and wouldn't get more than a day two pick. Doesn't seem worth it and I just don't like the thought of facing him at least twice a year.

Tee Higgins for pick #20 & Minkah Fitzpatrick or no deal.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Five 1st round picks and a year supply of terrible towels to use as toilet paper.
I can't, off the top of my head, think of a single AFCN to AFCN trade that has ever happened. Almost McCarron to the Browns is the closest I can think of.

Yea, this is wishful thinking. They, the Browns, are still a bit too traditional to consider making a trade within division at that scale.

Send him.
Call it a done deal for their second and third rounders, 51 and 84 respectively.
Let the Steelers deal with his agent and the Bengals move on. Re-sign Boyd on the cheap for a security blanket for Burrow, and use one of the picks to draft another tall burner to work the outside and deep ball.
When you look at his stats and availability, Tee is very replaceable.

A 2nd and 5th in 2024 and a 2nd in 2025, I say trade him.
Free Agency ain't over until it is over.
First 6 years BB - 41 wins and 54 losses with 1-1 playoff record with 2 teams Browns and Pats

Including tight ends, tee Higgins has the 20th most yards since 2020.
He was 17th in 2021 and 20th in 2022.
This is total, which includes missed games. I’m not sure a top 20 WR is “very replaceable”, considering there are AT LEAST 64 starting WR every week.

If the Bengals can get a second and third round pick for a receiver who got 656 yards and 5 TD's last season, ranking 60th behind Tyler Boyd at 57, they should jump at it.
It will be tough to find another WR who can facemask like him though...

lol, so you cherry pick the teams worst year and his health challenged year.
The Vikings should ship away Jefferson, his production is very replaceable.
What has Higgins ever done to upset you?

No way do you trade him to a division rival, if they sign him as a FA fine, but you dont want to shoot yourself in the foot when divisional games are already smash mouth football games. The team we should be contacting is the Arizona Cardinals. There WR core is pretty weak and I would love to get that 2nd rd pick from them:
bengals trade: Tee Higgins
Cardinals trade # 35 (2) and swap 3rd rounders 71 for 97. that gives us picks (71 and 80) and they still have 3 also.
- agreed we could bring back boyd on a 1 year deal, and draft an outside burner to replace Higgins.

Using his most recent stats is cherry picking"
Interesting take.
I think the question is why all the love for a receiver who is not producing or staying healthy, but can be traded to help the team via picks and freeing up 21M in cap space?
