The President Survival Game
#1
The game is pretty simple. You repost this list and down vote one President and up vote another. The idea is to eliminate all of the Presidents until only the best remains. You must explain why you are voting that way when you do. No one can post twice in a row. Do not quote the person, just repost the list, otherwise it will be hard to follow.

Thomas Jefferson was crucial in the adoption of the Bill of Rights and expanded this country with the LA purchase.

Buchanan (who probably was our first gay president) utterly failed and did nothing to prevent the Civil War before Lincoln got into office.

I used colors to make it easy to see who has points added and subtracted. If you post at the same time as someone else, the person who posted last should update theirs.

Up for FDR... Helped bring us out of the Depression, and guided us thru WWII.

Down for George H.W. Bush for siring W. and Jeb.
I'm gonna break every record they've got. I'm tellin' you right now. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's goin' to get done.

Up Washington for setting term limits when he could have ruled over whatever he wanted. Down for Jackson for overturning Washington's direction of trying to get Indian nations to assimilate via culture and instead forcibly began their removal.

This was difficult. My vote down was down to 3 people. My vote up was between 2.

And thanks Pat for making this game. Will be fun and interesting to see the results.

Vote up: Calvin Coolidge - he did many things such as dropping tax rates, undoing a lot of nonsense. But the thing that set him apart was that he knew that the job of the president was to do as little as possible and let people live.... Plus he had a tough job with Harding passing.

Vote Down: Woodrow Wilson - watching KKK movies in the White House, using the KKK to hunt down German citizens, the income tax, getting us into WW1, League of Nations, basing a loan to Russia dependent on staying in the war thus giving The Bolsheviks an opening to take control which led to Stalin and millions of deaths.

+ to Eisenhower for his role in WWII and for leading us through a time of prosperity in the 50's
- to Warren Gangsta Harding for being more concerned about getting both his dick and whistle wet than to handle all of the scandals of his administration. He did write some crazy erotic letters to his mistress, though. He referred to his dick as Mt Jerry, and said he was a wonder sight lol.
