The perfect Candidate has announced
#1
This guy already has 15 years’ experience as a Governor so check the Executive experience block

This guy served in the Air Force flying Cargo missions in Europe so check the Commander in Chief Block

This guy was a former Democrat who endorsed Al Gore for President so check bi-partisan

His state is responsible for 40% of the Jobs in America so check jobs creation

Answer to immigration is secure the borders and quit pointing fingers so check immigration reform

Although he believe marriage is between a man and woman recently said he would attend a same sex wedding so check civil liberties

So let the rest of the Republicans preach, let the Democrats retire to the rocking chair, and let’s all get behind Rick Perry!!

Who is coming with me??

That's a joke. Saying it should be banned by a constitutional amendment is not negated by saying you'd "probably" go to a gay wedding. This is the guy who said gay men are bad role models for teens, compared the scouts standing against gays to Sam Houston standing against slavery, and said the scouts were wrong when they decided to allow gay members. Can't say I am surprised that he is against gay marriage.

That said, Rick Perry has long supported those protected classes covered by the Civil Rights Act and other federal protection laws, so that is to be commended. And while he says states should decide their drug laws, he doesn't think Texas should allow medical marijuana. Weighing all of that, you do not get a check on civil liberties.

LOL
don't forget he's the only candidate who knowingly expedited executing an innocent person and used his office to silence people who opposed it.

Not a Perry supporter but he has a good record as gov. But that's more due to how texas has always ran itself.

If the fed gov ran that way we would be humming.

He also gave in state tuition to illegals.... Huge negative

But He was tough on the border, as tough as he could be...

I do think Greg Abbott is going to be a better gov though.

He will be fighting Rubio/Walker/Bush/Christie for the establishment vote.

Former Texas governor Rick Perry announced Thursday his candidacy for the 2016 presidential election, hoping to fare better than he did in his unsuccessful bid for the Republican nomination in 2012. Here’s what you need to know about Perry:

Campaign Slogan: “I Studied This Time”
Experience: Effectively and efficiently led bungling of 2012 presidential campaign
Policies: Tough on crime, specifically homosexuality
Death Penalty Record: Undefeated, 234-0
Political Base: Unsettling white guys in wraparound Oakleys
Biggest Political Asset: Looks pretty presidential on muted TV at airport
Biggest Liability: Public forums
Greatest Political Accomplishment: Provided underserved minorities and mentally ******** individuals with access to quality executions
Oh, And: Was recently issued felony indictment for abuse of power as Texas governor

Perry was indicted because he stated if this person didn't resign as DA he would veto funding of a task force she was in charge of:

Can we at least wait for the trial or is an indictment all that is required to assume guilt?

Assuming it does get thrown out before it goes to trial.

Sorry. Thanks for explaining the alleged abuse of power that led to his indictment.

would it be better if he was indicted on a murder charge instead of abusing authority?

Wasn't it because she was a drunk and that's why he wanted her gone .... Then she tried to pull the old "fired for being a woman" nonsense

Being a drunk is reason enough to stop funding anything she is involved.

Didn't you just admit that he did it?
