The twist in logic that you and those like you will go through to attack someone who you disagree with politically is sad and funny at the same time.

Did the group Harris "Backed" post bail for a "murderer"?  Is she "on the board" of that group as you claimed?

Quote:“MFF believes that every individual who has been arrested by the law enforcement is innocent until proven guilty, and if a judge deems them eligible for bail, they should not have to wait in jail simply because they don’t have the same income or access to resources as others,” the group’s statement continued.

In a follow-up tweet that was also taken down, MFF officials said they have “implemented changes” to its policies and procedures while continuing to assess them.

“MFF is closely monitoring developments in the case and will share more information as additional facts become known,” the organization tweeted Friday.

No and no.

Supporting helping protestors get out of jail for minor charges is in no way the same as this group possibly posting bail for the driver of the car that killed those people.

I get that you are a in a field where you have strong views on bail and jail but at least pick something factually accurate.  And I know that if anyone on bail ever commits a worse crime the "system" is attacked by the law and order types but if we want to look at the whole system and improve/fix it then lets do that and not cherry pick one case to slur someone purely over politics.

To put it another way:  Let's pretend she actually WAS "on the board" and had personally made this decision.  She has qualified immunity.  She acted within the policies as written and she did not violate anyone's constitutional rights in a clearly established way. Smirk

I guess if you consider arson and destruction of private and goverment property, assault with injury  (some permanent) to hundreds of officers "minor charges" then you would be all for it. That one sentence says it all.

"charges"

Or are you saying people don't deserve bail if they are charged?

Nonetheless you post that she was "on the board" of the group is wrong and the idea that they would then post bail for this man was just your own personal bias on people helping others post bail based on whether YOU think they should be on bail or not.

We can always discuss reforming the bail system to stop it from keeping innocent people in jail for months because they can't afford it and allowing rich people to be free too.

Aye.  And we can talk about bail reform!

And we can talk about consistency and lots of other justice related items!

Add in that Trump pardoned people who went right back to being in legal hot water and we've got one hell of a great 2024 ticket shaping up.
