So what happens when we pound the Ravens this weekend and the Bills lose? Do we get the 2 seed or not?

I read where you were wrong about losing to the Ravens.

Neutral site is the only benefit, we now will have a tougher path than we might not have had to play.

It’s a no contest. The only shot at a neutral site game instead of going on the road for us is if both Buffalo and KC lose this weekend. If we lose this weekend they will flip a coin for home field for the Wildcard game if it’s against Baltimore.

So how did we end up with the worst competitive outcome. Just ridiculous.

I'm totally shocked! A coin flip for a potential Ravens-Bengals playoff game! They absolutely don't want the Bengals to rest any starters. They want a war on Sunday.

F*** the refs, we will dominate completely so they have no way to rig it if they try.

Well, it said the owners still have to agree. If CIN wins, and KC and BUF both lose next week, then an AFC Championship involving any two of those three being at a neutral site must be included.

It doesnt matter if KC loses, we have zero shot at the #1 seed.  We would be come the #2.

What a bad outcome.

If we are reverting to coin flipping. Coin flip the fn bills game.

Give us a gosh darn chance at the 2.

The Bengals don't even get a neutral site for the championship, only if Buffalo plays KC! That is, if KC wins on Saturday, then the Bengals could not possibly have gotten the 1 seed and would have to go to KC.

The Bengals literally could end up with 3 away games for the playoffs!

But we get a shot at a neutral site rather than an away game for the championship is a situation where we would have ended up away anyways (if KC beats the raiders).

If we lost to the ravens we'd lose the division anyways and play away also but now we at least get a shot at a home he via a coin flip.

Just get over it guys this isn't as bad as you're making out to be.

Keep  displaying that Bills avatar... SOFTIE!!!!

NFL to Cincinnati:
[Image: heads-i-win-tails-you-lose-t-shirt-snorgtees.gif]

"Enjoy your 9 road games and 7 home game regular season, because you're playing on the road in the postseason."

Cincinnati:
-No 1 seed possibility.
-Probably no 2 seed either.
-A whole lot of possibility for neutral fields in the playoffs.
-You can win the division, but still have to play on the road.
-You can win the division, have to play on the road, and still get a division winner's schedule next year.

This summarizes it. The Bengals have only had 7 home games all season and could play all 3 games away in the postseason.

Just remember this next time something like this happens, it doesn't pay to be the "good guy", we should have started the game back up or had them forfeit.

Anytime we put this in the hands of the NFL and it comes down to screwing us, the Chiefs, or the Bills we are gonna get the short end of the stick.

Hope everyone enjoyed the pat on the back the media gave the Bengals this week because it most likely cost us the 2 seed, and if the Chiefs lose this week the one seed.

I think if Bengals win and Buffalo loses we have a tiebreaker and the same number of games against Buffalo so they don't need a special rule for that scenario.

This is treated as a loss for Cincinnati because not of these scenarios would be in play if we won or even tied.

We don’t control our own destiny for a 2 seed neutral site game, but Buffalo does for an AFC Champ neutral site game? When we earlier controlled our own destiny to a 2 seed?
We only controlled it if we had won.  It was half way through the first quarter and your treating if as of the game was out of reach.

We just came off consecutive games were a 17-0 halftime deficit was overcome and a 22-0 was very nearly overcome.  A 7-3 lead in the first quarter doesn't mean anything.

We risked a 5 seed and no home games now we are no lower than a 3 seed with a chance of at least a neutral field in the championship.  A game most likely would have been the road team for.

The coin flip is a bit of a bummer but the ravens now have no shot at the division at all so they got screwed as well and the coin flip is a way to try level that out.  And that's only if they win next week anyways.

That's a lot of ifs. I will add a more likely scenario. The Chiefs win and Buffalo wins. And the Bengals have to go all out on Sunday to avoid possibly having an away game against the Ravens, who would have the poorer record.

Now if Buffalo and the Chiefs win, they get a neutral site option if they get to the championship game. But the Bengals do not get a neutral site option if they play Buffalo.

I could not think of a worse outcome for the Bengals.
