Yes. A circle is round. Go get a piece of paper and a pencil. Draw a circle on the paper. Is it round? Yes. Is it flat? Yes. Why? Because a circle is a two dimensional object on a single plane. A sphere is a round three dimensional object. A sphere and a circle aren't the same.
