Do Bengal Fans Miss Chad Johnson??

AJ Green and Geno Atkins have brought zero playoff victories to Cincinnati. Doesn't make them less valuable or less good.

All current QUARTERBACKS and coaches are held to that standard. Records only follow QBs, Coaches, and Owners (but really only Owners if they've been really good or really bad). I can easily find online the Bengals record when Dalton is starting. I can easily go online and find the Bengals record when Lewis has been coach. I can't easily find the record for the Bengals when Green or Atkins have started. Just how it is.

"and zero playoff wins with what some would say one of the all time greatest QBs in history".... nobody has EVER called Jon Kitna, Carson Palmer, or Ryan Fitzpatrick one of the all time greatest QBs in history. Those are the three QBs that Chad has had throw passes to him for the Bengals. Unless you're talking about the one season at the end of his career where he was clearly washed up and done, having lost a step... but still ended up in a Super Bowl and had a catch in it with Tom Brady and the Patriots.

EDIT: I don't think you appreciate how good Chad Johnson was. He didn't do much his rookie year (why he was a second round pick instead of a top-5 or top-10 pick) but here's how he lines up against AJ Green in their first 5 seasons in the NFL.

Chad Johnson '01-'05*:
379 / 5,556 / 34

*15 total 4,000+ yard passing seasons, 0 total 5,000+ yard passing seasons in that time span.

AJ Green '11-'15*:
415 / 6,171 / 45

*53 total 4,000+ yard passing season, 6 total 5,000+ yard passing seasons in that time span.

.....and that's with Chad putting up only 28 / 329 / 1 in his rookie year. If Chad were a rookie the same year as AJ and Julio, he would be likely crushing both of them right now.

1) Was only using other peoples standards with playoff wins. Plus Geno and AJ have not played 11 years yet.

2) Once again referring to other peoples standards. Am very vocal that Carson was not the greatest QB or even amongst them. Tom Brady is and nobody on here said Chad was washed up when he left. That is an excuse. Most even wanted him back and none said washed up. But believe Brady said something about his route running and ability to absorb playbook. But hang your hat on that one SB catch.

3) Appreciate Chad and purchased 4 tickets to every single game he played. Went hoarse cheering for him many of days. He brought to my seats 3 TD balls, set of game worn cleats off his feet, gloves, and came and shake hands with my friend before every game of the 2009 year as well for buying him a hot dog for a sideline stunt during game. Good deal and he is a cool dude for doing such but a team distraction. Believe also this was a ploy to get back in good fan graces for demanding a trade that off season. But benefitted greatly from it.

4) Think Geno and AJ Green will be in Hall of Fame and Ocho will certainly not be. Time will tell though. You may only care about individual stats but I care about who makes the team better. Not who can get in the spotlight the most. But understand the younger generation is more of a microwave and look at me society. Just old school I guess. Actually am just old.

5) Seems like we differ a lot and have no hard feelings with you or any other true Bengals fans. Sorry if it ever seems as such. Loved Chad but eventually his antics wore on me somewhat when the Bengals were losing and he was showboating or giving next weeks team chalkboard material just to get in the news. It started when he got in the fight with coaches at halftime of the steelers playoff game that Bengals were leading in up until this point. Team came out flat, everybody blames the injuries. But this is when teams pull together instead of focusing on themselves and then it turned other direction when he demanded trade.

Think he had all the potential to be one of the best of all time if he would have been a team player instead of a moth to the spotlight. A lot more of this showed in retirement, porno, wife beating, reality show, and canadian football flop.

he became more a player that I still loved, but just did not like him anymore.
