Extensions for Iloka, Zeitler, and Dre Updates!
Posted by: Lqhybrid25 - 09-11-2015, 05:32 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (18)

So Just read an awesome article on the Cincy Enq website.
http://www.cincinnati.com/story/sports/nfl/bengals/2015/09/11/cincinnati-bengals-safety-george-iloka-kevin-zeitler-no-extension/72039366/

Its written that the Bengals tried to reach a deal with Zeitler and Iloka. They couldn't come to a deal. They plan to try again after the season is over.

The interesting note was that Dre K. Told the Bengals earlier this summer when they exercised the 5th year option that he would wait until after the season was over to talk Contracts.

It looks like the Front Office was trying hard to get the other two done. Zeitler and Iloka.

I fear Iloka is going to be to expensive after this year.

Now that AJ is signed. I honestly think they Franchise Tag Iloka.
With the Franchise tag for safety being 9 mil and the transition tag being 8 mil. I think they give Iloka the Transition tag. Make another team give him an offer. If we don't match we get at least one first round pick

They give the Franchise tag to Zeitler.

Tag#s for 2015
Via Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the projections for the franchise tags are in:

Quarterbacks: $18.544 million
Running backs: $10.951 million
Wide receivers: $12.823 million
Tight ends: $8.347 million
Offensive linemen: $12.943 million
Defensive tackles: $11.193 million
Defensive ends: $14.813 million
Linebackers: $13.195 million
Cornerbacks: $13.075 million
Kickers/punters: $4.126 million.

Safeties: $9.618 million

1st round tender tag is these

Quarterbacks: $16.155 million
Running backs: $9.037 million
Wide receivers: $10.971 million
Tight ends: $7.071 million
Offensive linemen: $11.096 million
Defensive tackles: $9.314 million
Defensive ends: $11.958 million
Linebackers: $11.058 million
Cornerbacks: $11.082 million
Kickers/punters: $3.716 million.

Safeties: $8.263 million

  Simple Question on QB attributes

Would you rather have a QB with a great touch pass or an arm that can drill it into tight windows?

Aldon Smith to Raiders....could be playing on Sunday
Posted by: CornerBlitz - 09-11-2015, 02:34 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (35)

Damn, all of a sudden Raiders got sicc pass rush with Khalil and Aldon. People sometimes forget just how good Aldon Smith is. I would have been all for signing Aldon Smith on our squad. Yes he has issues but with a 1 year contract like he got in Oak, it's really not that bad of a risk for the raiders.

Predict Dalton's / Hils's Stats for Raider Game
Posted by: Daddy-O - 09-11-2015, 09:11 AM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (16)

I'll say:

Dalton

16 of 24
2 TD's
1 pick (tipped ball)
247 yards.

Hill

17 rushes
121 yards
1 TD
(grinds throughout the game and then busts a 30+ yard run late).

Yours?

  Advantage in division already
Posted by: Trademark - 09-10-2015, 10:23 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (37)

I know it is only week 1 and we have a long way to go but we have an advantage in the division we could be in first place by ourselves after just week 1 the steelers will probably lose against New England and the Ravens have a tough matchup against Denver and the Clowns have a tough matchup against the Jets so after this weekend if we win we will already have a slight advantage

  QB Index by Gregg Rosenthal
Posted by: djs7685 - 09-10-2015, 04:24 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (279)

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000524987/article/qb-index-ranking-the-starters-132?campaign=fb-nf-sf12966187-sf12966187

Interesting, sort of.

He puts Aaron Rodgers at 1 by himself.

This is the "top shelf" under Rodgers.

2. Ben Roethlisberger
3. Andrew Luck
4. Tom Brady
5. Matt Ryan
6. Philip Rivers
7. Drew Brees
8. Tony Romo
9. Russell Wilson
10. Peyton Manning

This is the "next level".

11. Cam Newton
12. Joe Flacco
13. Matthew Stafford
14. Ryan Tannehill
15. Eli Manning
16. Sam Bradford
17. Carson Palmer
18. Teddy Bridgewater
19. Colin Kaepernick

Andy is included with the "stuck in the middle" crowd.

20. Alex Smith
21. Jay Cutler
22. Andy Dalton
23. Blake Bortles
24. Nick Foles

"The rookies"

25. Jameis Winston
26. Marcus Mariota

Finally, "the question marks"

27. Derek Carr
28. Kirk Cousins
29. Ryan Fitzpatrick
30. Tyrod Taylor
31. Josh McCown
32. Brian Hoyer

People always seem to have interesting things to say about Rosenthal's objectivity. I'm not sure if he's being biased, but I disagree with a handful of his rankings. Some of these seem strange. I won't get to really look much more into this until later though, but figured I'd post it before I had to go for a while.

His 1 simple statement about Andy Dalton is "Dalton is a poor man's Smith", and I'm not so sure how accurate that is.

  2015 Team Captains
Posted by: pally - 09-10-2015, 03:49 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (10)

offense: Andy Dalton
Andrew Whitworth

Defense: Domata Peko
Reggie Nelson

Spec Teams: Cedric Peerman
Vinny Rey

Sometimes, as in the case of Peerman and Peko they remain on the team for things they bring to the locker room as well as the field. its those intangibles that separate them from a player who may be slightly more skilled. We saw years of bad play and poor character because of lack of leadership behind the scenes.
