Cocky Rats

Cliff notes ….

They are overwhelmingly expecting a win - mostly based on our D being trash.

Only one they seem to fear on the entire Bengals team is Hendrickson

Lamar > Burrow and they don’t understand all the hype about JB

Logan Wilson is a dirty player.

Murphy and Jackson Activated off IR

This deserves it's own thread.

https://www.bengals.com/news/bengals-roster-update-murphy-jackson-activated-carter-waived

Our D has been bad. From last week to this week it looks like we are adding a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick from the last two drafts back into our DL rotation. With Jenkins and now Murphy and Jackson back in action.

I'm excited to see what we have. The timing is excellent with the biggest game of the year on Sunday. Would love to see these young guys make us better.

if mike Hilton is out Sunday I'm really exited to see josh Newton

josh is exactly the type of slot we need playing against the ravens, he's very physical in press coverage and he's an excellent tackler in close or in space..His only true knock was long speed which really doesn't matter if you keep a good technique..

josh won't give the ravens receivers the inside slant routes that killed us in both games last year and he'll definitely be a help in run support being close to the los..I live in Baltimore born and raised but I am a diehard bengals fan..Ravens fans are confident and there talking as much as I've ever heard them talk and that's why I have a real quiet belief/confidence that the bengals are gonna shock some folks this weekend..

  Sign Michael Mayer!
Posted by: BFritz21 - 10-03-2024, 07:13 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (65)

Apparently, Michael Mayer is away from the Raiders with no timetable for return due to personal issues.

I always say that Northern Kentucky is a bubble so we had this information (that he wanted to quit) a few days ago and apparently it's because he's adapting well to the big city and is homesick.

He was always outgoing and nice but he never really seemed like the cocky football player that wanted all the attention.

Anyways, we need a tight end and he'd be one of the best we've ever had.

He hasn't lived up to the pre-draft hype of being Baby Gronk, and maybe them drafting Bowers messed him up in the head, but, if we could get him to sign here, I think his brain could be back in it and he could live up to his potential.

Imagine Burrow having Mayer up the hashmarks or over the middle and teams selling out to stop him while also trying to double Chase.

Any chance of it happening?

Would you be for it?

  Zac Carter
Posted by: Tlawsonmariat82 - 10-03-2024, 02:38 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (61)

I don't understand why we keep parading this guy out there every Sunday, he gives us absolutely nothing in run defense or pass rushing..IMO we have guys that could've helped us better on practice squad,Dominique Davis who goes 6-3 330 would be better plugging the middle than Zac Carter ever was..

I think the Zac Carter experiment should be all but over don't put this guy back on the field period..

I think its officially time we declare Ossai a bust.

I had such high hopes for this guy early in his career here but man last season and so far this season he has been invisible.  Its very puzzling because year 2 (which was his defacto rookie season due to injury) he looked good.  I hope he proves me wrong but so far this season his PFF grade is 51.3  Sick

Weird map

announcers: Kevin Harlan and Trent Green

Ref:Bill Vinovich who has worked 19 Bengals games, most of any referee, notable game AFC Championship 2021. Team is 8-9 for games he worked

Uni Combo: Black Jersey, orange with black stripes pants, black socks

and FYI, the week 6 SNF against the Giants was not flexed so remains a night game

Ravens vs Bengals Week 5 Predictions
Posted by: kevin - 10-02-2024, 12:12 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (66)

Yes, Ravens look like best team in NFL at this time. However what if Burrow, Chase, Higgins have a big game also. I think the game is in Cincinnati, not Baltimore, so that helps. May be a closer game than media is thinking.

Of course as always, GO BENGALS

The Bengals need to suck it up, break the norm and make a damn trade
Posted by: WeezyBengal - 10-01-2024, 05:32 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (58)

I know I know, but the Bengals don't make trades during the season (or ever, really).

Well, desperate times call for desperate measures. A little urgency would go a long way here. If this organization has really "changed" the way that they operate (they haven't) then they need to suck it up and trade a pick or two for some defensive line help. They just have to.

Yes the defensive line is about to get a bit healthier, but it's still not good enough.

How about trading the Dolphins for Calais Cambell? He's had a pretty good year so far and surely it wouldn't take too much to pluck him away from the Dolphins and their tanking season. A cheap vet on a one year deal is about as good as we can ask for.

Do it front office. Make a damn move and salvage what was supposed to be a Super Bowl season before its too late.

I'm assuming tomorrow we hear about Murphy and/or Jackson
Posted by: Joelist - 10-01-2024, 04:40 PM - Forum: JUNGLE NOISE - Replies (40)

Tomorrow should be a big day for the DL. Murphy SHOULD be back. Jackson MAY be back. Hill MAY be back. I also assume Jenkins moves up in rotation to start. I'm kinda hoping if they have to do their 5 front it is: Murphy - Hubbard - Jenkins - Hill/Guy - Trey. Or something to that effect. It puts someone outside of Sam so as to minimize the hamstring effect. If Jackson is also back then he slides into the Guy slot?
