Yeah, that's why I don't use that simulator. Having a full life and demanding job, I just don't have the time to learn and research the entire draft prospect field. The other simulators at least offer a bio, overview, and sometimes a meager scouting report. That way when I get to the names that I'm unfamiliar with, I can at least have a little info to base my choice from. (for example, I'm not drafting a 6'2" 275# Center, even if he is top 3 in his group)

I open another window and do a quick Google search from there.  It is definitely a downside to their sim.  I don't blame you.

He's not a bad player, just not that complete TE that is so highly coveted in the league. And, he fell out of favor with many around here when he dropped that TD pass.

Yep, Sweat can come across as a blob when he is constantly over weight. His work ethic is questionable at the very least.

Yep, Sweat can come across as a blob when he is constantly over weight. His work ethic is questionable at the very least.

I like that we drafted McKinnley and didn't reach for T'Vondre.

Sweat has been solid so far this year,  Which means he'll look like prime Albert Haynesworth against our IOL.

But yeah, not a fan of taking a guy with his weight issues high.

Good to know, haven't seen Sweat this year. I was for drafting him as well, but I honestly liked McKinnley better and thought the Titans 
was by far the bigger reach with his questions. We will see how both of these players look as the years go on. Kind of similar to Mims and
the other OT's that we were looking at before the Draft.

The issue for Sweat has been his conditioning, work ethic, and off-the-field. When he plays, he is dominant. He's a huge man and strong and can move quite well. Heck, he won the Outland Trophy. I had my eye on him as someone who would be available in the draft to replace Reader.

But in the Texas-Washington playoff game, which Texas lost, he was so out of condition that he was sitting out obvious defensive stands when he was needed. He was too worn out to take the field, even in the short-yardage, obvious run plays. Then he got a DWI right before the draft, which was about as ridiculous as it gets. And Callahan called his conditioning early in the season "a work in progress."  It does seem that Callahan has him in pretty good shape and he's done well this season. But he did miss (I believe) the game last week (or was it the week before?) and was limited in practice this week, so I'm not sure we will even see Sweat on Sunday.

Plus Sweat played next to Byron Murphy who was a stud and was my 2nd favorite choice in this last draft after Mims.

He now plays next to Simmons who is a stud as well. We will see if Sweat plays against us, I am interested in seeing how he does against crappy
Guards. Same with how McKinnley does as his rookie season goes on. I like who we picked.

What's your point? He's a decent role player, as long as he stays cheap, I don't mind him being on the team. You can't use all of your tools all of the time, anyway.

I already made my point. He’s a career practice squad player who’s not worth a roster spot. I’d rather be getting a look at Tanner McLachlan if anything.

I swear, some of the players you guys like and get attached to for absolutely no reason (Volson, Hudson) is so weird lol.

It's not about getting attached to players for any sort of sentimental reason. It takes players at all ranges of the pay scale to make a roster, especially on a team with a handful of stars consuming a high percentage of the payroll. 

It will be interesting to see what the Bengals do at TE in thr off-season. They got a taste of what an all-around TE could do for the offense in Erick All but the injury makes his future iffy. McLachlan looked like a Tanner Hudson cardboard cutout in his pre-draft process so I'm not expecting him to step in as a run blocker. Drew Sample is a solid role player but they need a guy that can play Y, F, and H-Back.

Mock Draft Database doesn't actually have any draftniks they are just aggregate for all of the Big Boards and Mock Drafts. They aren't allowed to post other people's scouting reports on their site because of copyrights. 

This time of year all rhe simulators are useless though as the draft analysts watch tape and build boards.

I’d be pretty surprised if they don’t bring back Gesicki on a 1 or 2 year deal. Still need a complete TE though. Such a bummer about All. He looked so promising.
