Yesterday was a travesty when it comes to flopping and getting unwarranted calls. Mahomes was gifted 2 unnecessary roughness calls and tried for a 3rd when he flipped out of bounds. It's starting to become to big to ignore the obvious bias when it comes to certain teams/players.
I'm starting to come around on the idea that players are going to need to self police in order to crack down on some of this stuff. Because the league isn't going to.

I think teams are going to need a chance to challenge penalties, just like ball spots and TD’s. It’s getting ridiculous with all the missed calls and bad calls that were never a penalty to start with. The outcome of the games is being determined by the referees, and that’s not right.

While I agree with your last sentence, Im not on board with more reviews. There are already too many as it is and once you open up the can of worms with going back to review penalties, it will make the game unwatchable. Besides, the league already tried it with the PI penalty and it was quickly scrapped. Maybe the league and the refs just need to stop favoring certain teams/players

The bengals have lost too many games with bad calls and no calls, it has to stop.

Then maybe the NFL referee in the box should stop the game for a review, 90% of the time when they show the play again it’s obvious before the ball is snapped next time. If it’s obvious then stop the game and call the penalty.

We need a new Burfict. If you're going to get penalized for breathing near Mahomes and Mahomes is going to bait defenders and then flop, just go ahead and get your money's worth and make him earn it.

Imagine if there is another blatant no-flag on him, and he doesn't get up. Especially now that analysts are talking about how Burrow never gets those calls and Mahomes gets them if someone breathes on him. They will have a hard time dealing with that in the PR department.

How about we don’t instead? FFS.

I know that the league and media vilified Burfict to no end, but damn I sure did love having him on the team. Burfict's downfall was that he needed a strong voice like that of Mike Zimmer keeping him grounded and in check with reality. Once laid back Paully Guenther took over as DC, Burfict was left to his own devices. Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations -Frank Booth 1/9/23

We do live in a world today when vast majority no longer trust Mainstreet media, they earned the distrust. I was glad to see Troy call out the very bad calls in the Chiefs favor again, 2 brutally bad calls they could have overturned, but did not. Why? The NFL's perceived bias benefitting Mahomes and KC was on full display once again. In time, perception becomes reality, and the NFL will be in jeopardy of losing. trust. Once lost, very hard to get back so the NFL better do something. In my opinion, refs should be held accountable for blatant bad judgment calls. Use the first bad judgment call is a warning. 2nd a stiffer warning. 3rd, a 1-month suspension. 4th, they are terminated. Just like players, they should be held to a standard of conduct and penalties increase as judgment issues persist. It is sad many sports reporters and stations ignore. the obvious. To me, that makes them complicit. 2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

They are not full-time and not really paid that great, so the temptation for them to bet on a game they can somewhat control has to be great. No one can tell me they legit missed that many facemasks on Burrow. It would be different if it were a running back or receiver having their mask grabbed, but you are not even allowed to touch a QB's head. No way you miss that. Yeah, they ignored them on purpose and I suspect it has to do with money. Whenever there is a no-brainer that goes unaddressed, it’s almost always because someone(s) powerful wants it that way. Like 99.9% of the time. That’s the case here. Why aren’t the refs full time? It’s not as if the league can’t afford it. It’s because someone powerful wants it that way! Could be money. Could be control. I don’t live in their rotten skull, thank God.
Go Benton Panthers!!
