Just going to ignore the noise and watch as it all plays out. At the end of the day, the Bengals are the team I root for, good times or bad.

Absolutely this. Any outsider who claims to know what our front office is doing is a liar. It's a family business with no outsiders involved in negotiations, so there are no leaks. The only "leaks" are things player's agents are floating out there to try to increase their deals.

other teams plan accordingly for Trey..but aside from rushing the quarterback he offers very little to the defensive line..And I get that its pretty impressive to get some QB sacks...but most good teams put good pressure on opposing quarterbacks without superstars

and, as a Bengals fan, I'd much prefer the Philly way with the Bengals organization. Pay the players!

I saw Diana Russini reporting teams have called about T and are told he’s unavailable. If that’s the case then sign the man already. I hope they are at least listening.

Seahawks rumored to want a 1 and a 3 for metcalf. Doubt they get that for him coming up an expiring contract. Take it with a grain of salt. Just stating what I have read.

They already put the tag on tee. Which was the correct move

As I understand it, the poster is saying he is out as a Bengals fan after 50 years if the organization cannot sign any of Chase, Tee, or Trey. If they cannot sign any of the three, then I'd kind of admire his ability to break the addiction. I couldn't do it. He survived as a fan through three decades without a single playoff win and only 5 years of the 50 in which they won a playoff game. Yes, there's the enjoyment of individual games and enjoying various players success and the anticipation of the draft and the next season. But if the organization actually could not sign any of the three -- well, I wouldn't fault the poster for questioning how much this franchise is looking out for the fan.

That being said, I'm optimistic they will sign all three. I do think this is a different organization from what we went through during the three-decade dark ages and Burrow is special. But, for goodness sakes, please sign Chase soon.

Hendrickson caused 26 sacks this year. Mot other player was above 20. I think next best was 17 or 18.

And he graded out at 65.9 in run defense. 67th out of 211 Edges. Respectable.

He geaded out 5th/211 in pass rush grade (90.4). He led the league in sacks  & pressures. May have led in quick pressures (but was top 5 for sure). 4th in hits & hurries. 3rd in batted passess.

He's elite.

Crosbygrades out as a better run devender (73.0), but graded 70.1 in pass rush. Look at the vontract he just got, FFS.

Now, Trey isn't as good as Garrett (78+ vs the run) AND 90+ pass rush. But that is about it.

I get that, and I agree.  But they know what he is looking for and they know what they are willing to pay.  They are better off extending him or trading him imho

I think the FO has decided to pay him the tag price and keep the trio together one more year as they probably draft his replacement this year, which gives that player a year experience before taking over at WR.

That's not exactly true. His tackle numbers are productive, he gets a good amount of TFL and hits on the QB, even when he's not getting the sack.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

It's probably the smart thing. He's completed 5 years in the league. Next year will be his 6th.

What do we expect in years 7, 8, 9, etc?

Yes everyone agrees to that except for Tee Higgins. With his injury history he wants a deal done before camp.

They have stated several times that they intend to sign him to a long-term deal.

You can replace several times with several years at this point. Lol

If they let Chase walk I am genuinely done.  I have been teetering on the edge for a while.

Burrow, Chase, Tee, Brown and even Taylor gave me some hope and pulled me back a bit.  They might as well just close the doors if they let Chase walk.  If you cannot keep your WR who happens to be the best WR in the NFL, then you are not even remotely serious about being an NFL franchise and why would anyone waste their time at that point.
