Cappa was 64th rated guard in 2024. He may have been worse than Volson. Give us a couple of top 15 guards and our offense finally becomes top 5 in league.

Will Hernandez has the best pass blocking grade of any RG on the market over 76 and he can be had for prob 5 or 6 a year.....thats an UPGRADE and not spending big money

I know this isn’t really relevant to the bengals, but the chiefs look like they are going to have a lot of turnover as well.

Justin Reid
Nick Bolton
Tershawn Wharton
Charles Omenihu
Joe Thuney (Traded)

Wild cards, almost certain to miss time.
Xavier Worthy, Rashee Rice

Really? He must of made big time strides last year, heard Will was a major bust before this. Wanted us to draft the guy and then he
played terrible early in his career. But if he is playing good now all for Will Hernandez especially for THAT cheap.

I am for any G that plays like a top 10 to 15 guard and keeps JB clean.

Cappa was supposed to be z huge upgrade and was for 1 year and then he became the worst starting guard in the NFL, maybe it was coaching, maybe he was hurt but in the end, he was bad.

Bechton is NOWHEWRE NEAR a top 10 or 15 guard.

I would be interested in Wharton for the right price.

Brandon Thorn's Free Agent OL Predictions. I'm all for James Daniels in stripes if healthy.

Just bring in Zeitler and Scherff. Yes the IOL will be old, but you can backfill with some draft picks. Just get it solid for 25 and maybe 26. At least the reliability portion for those two is something they bring to the table. Make our new OL coach job a bit easier where you are not developing and playing concurrently. Field a competent to good line, and develop the bench. Too often we are building the plane while on it.

Good points on the reliability of Zeit and Scherff, I just don't know if the coaches will bring in older players like this.

Wharton is on the list of overrated FA's. If I remember correctly, he scores poorly on PFF even with Jones taking double teams leaving him one on one.

His pass rush win rate is  GOOD and that's what we need.

We had one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. That does not work against teams like the Ravens or Eagles. We need a DT that can do both in my humble opinion, one capable of beating a double team at times.

We need both whether it's one guy or a rotation of guys.

PFF has him at 75.2 overall, 21st of 135.

Pass block: 63.6, 60th of 135.
Run block: 74.7, 19th of 135.

Though playing between Lane Johnson (2nd team all-pro + pro bowl starter) and Jurgems (pro bowl reserve) probably helped a ton. He wouldn't be between a Pro Bowler and an All-Pro here. Though Karras and Mims are solid.

Karras is solid the jury is still out on Mims and Bechton isn't worth no 14 million a year anyways.
