could pick, way more talented than Myles Murphy. The lack of production is obvious, but with our new DL coach in Montgomery we might have a
chance of developing these types of players. Hobby our old DL coach was terrible at developing young OL in my opinion.
Am i wrong or were you not singing the praises of Hobby when he was hired?

I think he will set the edge defensively, he needs to improve his pass rushing finishing skills. He had. lot of pressures, that is a positive, at least he is putting pressure on the QB.
Is he? I heard he had the worst run stop rate of the class.

That's what i've had my eye on for quite some time now. I'd be happy with him in rd2 even with screwing up rd1, keeping them from getting the S and G they badly needed in 1 and 2.

He does. Stewart misses a ton of tackles. They just to all happen to be behind the line of scrimmage.

Donovan Jackson gone. At this pace there will be no plug in OL when we pick in Round 2. Only the Bungles.....a legitimate front office the second Nolen went would have pivoted to offensive line and taken someone like Zabel.

Would have gladly taken what the Giants just gave the Texans for 17 instead of what we’ve come out with tbh.
Bengals probably asked for 2 1st rounders or summat as they always have to win.
Idiots.

Dart to Giants.
Honestly, I don't think they gave up too much in that trade.

Shemar Stewart says he didn't have any communication with the #Bengals prior to being drafted by Cincinnati.
"I never talked to the Bengals...I didn't talk to them. No 30 visits."
Added he doesn't remember meeting with the Bengals at the NFL combine.

I have no doubt they planned on taking Nolen and got left with their pants down after he got picked right in front of them. How do you pick a player who is all traits and no production without talking to him and finding out what the deal is?
We drafted his teammate last year. And spent the last year with that teammate playing for us and talking to our guys. They like picking players brains so maybe McKinnley gave a glowing recommendation .

Falcons just traded a first rounder next year to trade up from the mid 40s to 26.

PFF ranked him as the best edge rusher at the Senior Bowl:

Fowler added that Stewart elicited the most "wow" responses from league executives.
Stewart could be a tricky evaluation for NFL teams. He's got all of the physical tools to be a top-tier draft prospect at just over 6'5" with an 83.5-inch wingspan.

Like I said, I'm trusting our coaches with this one and I think it could be a hell of a pick. Hoping for a d tackle and also a guard, but I almost think we're better off praying for quality free agent guards.

Ah. But you're probably not wrong about the new coaches?
Who knows. It's all a crap shoot.
Let's all just hope a little harder.

They just spent 3 first round picks on two pass rushers.
